Synopsis

Augustin, un doux rêveur, veut devenir une vedette de kung-fu. Après avoir « étudié » à travers les films du genre, il rêve de partir pour l'Extrême-Orient et, enfourchant sa bicyclette, s'installe dans un hôtel du quartier chinois de Paris pour s'imprégner de la Chine et se perfectionner en kung-fu. Il fait la rencontre de René, un vieux droguiste, qui se prend de trouble affection pour lui, et de Ling, une acupunctrice, qui l'aide à soigner sa phobie des contacts physiques.

The Royal Hong Kong Police Force is planning a major undercover sting to arrest crime lord Chu Tao (Chor Yuen). Inspector Chan Ka-Kui (or Kevin Chan in some versions) is part of the operation, along with undercover officers stationed in a shanty town. However, the criminals spot the police and the ensuing car chase cuts through the hillside shanty town. Ka-Kui persists in his chase, eventually following on foot as the drug lord attempts to escape in a double-decker bus. Ka Kui manages to get in front of the bus and bring it to a halt by threatening to shoot the driver with his service revolver.

Ka-Kui, posing as a petty criminal prisoner, manages Panther's escape with the connivance of the guards. Grateful Panther invites Ka-Kui to go with him to Hong Kong and join Chaibat's gang. Panther meets up with some of his other men, and vouches for Ka-Kui. The group heads for Hong Kong.

Pai is on the run from the Eagle Claw clan, which is viciously killing off all of the rival Snake-stylng spot, but is ambushed by Eagle Claw student Su Chen and an assassin masquerading as a Christian missionary (Roy Horan), and is injured. After being abused once more, Chien later finds him, helping him recover. Pai agrees to give him more lessons, on the condition that he does not call him "sifu" ("master"), since they are friends. The real reason, however, is to keep Chien's connection with him secret from his pursuers.
