Bloody Kids is a British television film written by Stephen Poliakoff and directed by Stephen Frears, made by Black Lion Films for ATV, and first shown on ITV on 22 March 1980.

Synopsis

Leo et Mike sont deux garçons de 11 ans, qui, livrés à eux-mêmes et impressionnés par des élèves plus âgés, glissent progressivement dans la délinquance. Séchant l'école, ils s'inventent peu à peu un monde irréel, se montant la tête l'un l'autre. Pour se rendre intéressant, Léo organise son propre meurtre fictif par Mike, mais cela ne tourne pas exactement comme prévu et Mike se retrouve fugitif et à la merci de mauvaises rencontres. Il passe une journée avec la bande de Ken, un voyou cynique mais cependant protecteur. Arrivant à manipuler la police qui ne peut imaginer leur perversité puérile, les deux garçons échapperont au pire.

Un matin, la mère d'Amir part faire des courses, le chargeant de donner son biberon au bébé quand il se réveille. Sa journée commence par remplir le récipient d'eau de son oiseau. Mais il ne parvient pas à ouvrir les robinets. Il décide alors de donner une partie du biberon à l'oiseau, en avalant du même coup une grande partie du lait. Quand le bébé se réveille, il n'a plus assez pour le nourrir. Il utilise l'eau qui tombe goutte par goutte du robinet pour remplir à nouveau le biberon dans lequel il reste du lait en poudre. En attendant, le bébé, affamé, s'égosille et Amir doit le calmer. Il le promène maladroitement dans l'appartement pour lui montrer des choses distrayantes. Puis, fatigué des cris du bébé et du biberon qui ne se remplit pas, il décide de grimper à l'étagère pour lui donner le contenu d'un des pots. Il fait alors tomber un bocal de sauce, qui se fracasse par terre. À ce moment, alors que le bébé hurle, effrayé par le bruit du verre cassé, on sonne à la porte. C'est la voisine qui venait pour une visite de courtoisie. Intriguée par le bruit de casse, elle appela Amir. Ils se rendirent compte, chacun d'un côté de la porte, que celle-ci était fermée à clé. S'ensuivirent alors les événements, d'abord la voisine inquiétée qui partit chercher la mère d'Amir, Amir qui tentait de changer le bébé mouillé... Puis la grand-mère d'Amir arriva. La voisine discuta du fait avec elle. Elles constatèrent que ce n'était pas normal que M Alyeh, la mère d'Amir et du bébé, laisse ses fils seuls. La grand-mère n'avait pas la clé de l'appartement, pas plus que la voisine. Dans le panier qui montait et descendait de l'immeuble à l'extérieur, devant les fenêtres, la voisine mit du lait pour nourrir le bébé affamé. Ceci fait, elles constatèrent grâce à l'odeur que le repas, délaissé sur la cuisinière, brûlait. En criant derrière la porte, la voisine conseilla à Amir d'éteindre le feu sous l'autocuiseur. Ce qu'il tenta de faire. Il ne connaissait pas sa gauche et sa droite et tourna les boutons dans tous les sens. Le gaz allait se répandre dans l'immeuble. Les deux femmes, alliées dans l'ennui, lui expliquèrent de couper la bonbonne de gaz, ce qu'il ne put faire par manque de force. Elles se concentrèrent finalement sur la recherche de la clé. Cette dernière était accrochée derrière les vêtements au porte-manteau de l'appartement. D'abord, Amir dut « enfermer » le bébé dans une pièce pour éviter qu'il aille partout. Puis il tenta de l'attraper à mains nues. Peine perdue, Amir était beaucoup trop petit. Puis il alla chercher divers instruments afin de la décrocher. Il la découvrit une fois tous les vêtements tombés. À force d'efforts, il la fit tomber à son tour, mais elle se coinça sous une porte. Il finit par arriver à la prendre et put ouvrir la porte.

Trish Maplewood, the eldest Jordan sister, is an upper middle class housewife happily married to psychiatrist Bill Maplewood and has three children. Under the guise of attending a PTA meeting, Bill drives to the boy's house and rapes him as well. After Johnny is taken to the hospital and found to have been sexually abused, the police arrive at the Maplewood residence to question Bill. After alerting his wife to the police presence, Bill begins by asking the two detectives, "You said something about Ronald Farber?" The two detectives, looking puzzled, say nothing. Bill then stammers, "I mean, Johnny Grasso." Out on bail, he tearfully admits to Billy that he "fucked" the boys, that he enjoyed it, and that he would do it again. When Billy asks, "Would you ever fuck me?", his father replies, "No... I jerk off instead.
