Synopsis
Policeman Leon Kramer (Vogel) and his partner Pit (Sözer) are observing two people in a car. When Kramer goes to fetch some coffee the two people in the car and Pit are killed. Suspicion draws on him and very soon his boss is killed too and he becomes a fugitive. He gets to know that one of the two he observed was an ex-Red Army Faction-terrorist and the other one his former lawyer. A friend of the lawyer (Berricke) contacts Kramer and gives him information about the RAF and so does the father of the dead terrorist. He gets to know that there's maybe a conspiracy of important people of the government who use terrorist groups for their purpose. And now they want his life.Actors

High school teacher Rainer Wenger is forced to teach a class on autocracy, despite being an anarchist. When his students, third generation after the Second World War, do not believe that a dictatorship could be established in modern Germany, he starts an experiment to demonstrate how easily the masses can be manipulated. He begins by demanding that all students address him as "Herr Wenger", as opposed to Rainer, and places students with poor grades beside students with good grades—purportedly so they can learn from one another and become better as a whole. When speaking, they must stand and give short, direct answers. Wenger shows his students the effect of marching together in the same rhythm, motivating them by suggesting that they could really annoy the anarchy class, which is below them. Wenger suggests a uniform, to remove class distinction and further unite the group. Mona argues it will remove individuality, as well. Karo shows up to class without the uniform and is ostracised. The students decide they need a name, deciding on "Die Welle" (The Wave). Karo suggests another name, which ends up with one single vote cast by herself.

In 1942, Friedrich Weimer's (Max Riemelt) boxing skills earn him an appointment to a National Political Academy (NaPolA), a high school that serves as an entry to the Nazi elite. His father, a career factory worker who despises the Nazis, flatly refuses to allow Friedrich to enroll. Friedrich, who sees the school as his ticket to university and a better life, forges his father's signature on the permission form and leaves during the night. He makes his way to the town of Allenstein, where the school is located, getting a ride from passing cars or trucks when possible and walking the rest of the way. Rebecca vient de fuguer d'un hôpital psychiatrique pour rejoindre Henry, son mari dépressif. La jeune femme est convaincue que ce dernier doit enfin assumer un drame survenu dans son passé et accepter de retourner sur les lieux de son enfance. L'accueil y est plutôt glacial entre Berta, la veuve aubergiste, et Eleanor, la mère revêche d'Henry, qui s'est retirée dans la verrerie familiale désaffectée. Cette dernière ne semble en effet guère apprécier l'enquête que veut mener sa bru. Seul Tom, le garde forestier, est prêt à aider Rebecca dans cette contrée sauvage où les loups sont revenus.
