Synopsis
Dans le Territoire du Dakota, en 1883, John Mason (Christian Slater), traqué par le mystérieux Pop (Donald Sutherland), décide de renoncer à sa vie d'errance sous l'influence d'une rencontre de passage, Ben McClure, et de retourner à sa ville natale dans le Wyoming, où son père se fait assassiner peu après par des hors-la-loi masqués. Renouant avec son ancienne amie Alice (Jill Hennessy), fiancée à Ben et sœur de son vieil ami Rudd, il rumine sa vengeance. Mais bientôt des soupçons lui font penser que Rudd pourrait bien être l'assassin qu'il recherche.Actors

In 1950, attorney Charles Phalen is contacted by an elderly man named "Brushy Bill" Roberts. Brushy Bill tells Phalen that he is dying and wants to receive a pardon that he was promised 70 years before by the Governor of New Mexico. When asked why he wants the pardon, Brushy Bill claims that he is really William H. Bonney aka "Billy The Kid", whom "everyone" knows to have been shot and killed by Pat Garrett in 1881. The film opens to the sounds of a couple having sex. Afterwards, Carlos the Jackal (Aidan Quinn) kills a spider in its web with his cigarette and evicts the woman (Lucie Laurier) from his room because he claims he has work to do. He is seen donning a disguise, and he walks to a cafe where CIA officer Jack Shaw (Donald Sutherland) is sitting at a table outdoors. He recognizes Shaw and asks for a light. Shaw does not recognize Carlos, because of his disguise, but he turns to watch Carlos enter the cafe. He watches as Carlos detonates a grenade, killing dozens of people.

A group of close-knit thieves led by Johnny (Antonio Sabàto, Jr), Mollie (Amy Smart) and Larry (Lochlyn Munro). Their latest target is a small bank in Little Saigon, Orange Country, California. Mollie has been working in the bank undercover for months with the bank's manager Jane (Shannon Lee) unaware what she plans to do. On the day of the robbery, Johnny and the rest of the gang burst in forcing everyone on the floor. Johnny orders Jane to open the bank vault. As she opens it, Johnny discovers a large cache of money which is laundered by a Vietnamese mobster named Victor Phan (George Kee Cheung). Instead of taking the money, they escape empty-handed. Victor orders his men to go after the gang and Jane is revealed to be Victor's mistress who is imprisoned by him. She wants to leave Victor but knows he would never let her go. Johnny and his gang manage to survive an attack on them by Victor's men and join forces with Jane who offers them Victor's money if they kill him. On the night Victor is meeting with drug dealers at his nightclub, Johnny and his gang burst in leading to a shootout. They successfully steal his money and Jane escapes with them but Victor survives. They are forced to go the run with Victor and his men after them.

James Dunn (Wayans), a United States Marine who served in the Gulf War, is wrongly accused of an assassination of an officer he had disputed with. Dunn is later saved from death row and recruited for top-secret special operations squad led by Lt. Col. Grant Casey (Voight).
