Add to a movie listDead Man Talking is a 2012 Belgian comedy-drama film directed by Patrick Ridremont. It was written by Ridremont and Jean-Sébastien Lopez. It premiered on September 29, 2012, at the Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur. The film was nominated for eight Magritte Awards, winning Best Production Design for Alina Santos. It has also been nominated for the Best Foreign Film award at the 39th César Awards.
Synopsis
Dans le couloir de la mort d'une prison désaffectée, William Lamers, le dernier détenu, attend l'issue de sa condamnation au poison pour homicides. La loi lui accorde une dernière déclaration mais ne précise aucune limite de durée. Lamers va alors, tel Shéhérazade dans Les Mille et Une Nuits, saisir ce vide juridique en entamant un long monologue afin de retarder son exécution. Alors qu'une campagne électorale est lancée, le sort de William Lamers devient un enjeu politique et médiatique.Actors

In 1927, Roxie Hart sees star Velma Kelly perform ("All That Jazz") at a Chicago theater. Wanting stardom for herself, she begins an affair with Fred Casely, who claims to know the manager. After the show, Velma is arrested for killing her husband Charlie and sister Veronica, who were in bed together. A month later, Casely admits to Roxie that he has no showbiz connections and just wanted her body. Enraged, she shoots him dead. She convinces her husband Amos to take the blame, telling him she killed a burglar in self-defense. As Amos confesses to the detective, Roxie fantasizes that she is singing a song devoted to her husband ("Funny Honey"). However, when the detective brings up evidence that Roxie and Casely were having an affair, Amos recants; Roxie furiously admits what really happened and is arrested. Ambitious District Attorney Harrison announces he will seek the death penalty.

The judge Annibale is an incorruptible magistrate of Rome which, although close to retirement, does not intend to show any sign of weakness.
