Ekhon Nedekha Nodir Xhipare (Assamese: এখন নেদেখা নদীৰ সিপাৰে, English: On the other bank of the unseen river) is a 2012 Assamese language socio-political thriller film, with some dialogue in Hindi, starring Sanjay Suri and Bidita Bag in the lead roles. The film was directed by Bidyut Kotoky and produced by National Film Development Corporation of India. The film was simultaneously made in Hindi and was named As the river flows.
The film was inspired by the kidnapping of activist Sanjoy Ghosh, who was first abducted in 1997 from the island Majuli in Assam supposed to be by the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) and subsequently killed. A controversy regarding the film also developed when it got rejected by the jury of the 59th National Film Awards in the category of best Assamese film for being “not Assamese”.
Synopsis
Sridhar Ranjan, a social activist, has gone missing from Majuli, Assam. After almost 7 years, when as per law he is about to be officially declared dead, his old journalist friend Abhijit Shandilya (Sanjay Suri) goes in search of Sridhar from Mumbai to Majuli. In Majuli, Abhijit finds himself to be a stranger of sorts in a place that’s infested with terrorists and where both the police and the terrorists seem to be suspicious of him. He befriends with his local guide Sudakshina ( Bidita Bag). Sudakshina apparently also was the guide for Sridhar when he came to Majuli initially. She however seems to be living with her own fears and stops short of getting close to Abhijit whenever an occasion comes up. The rest of the story revoles around Abhijit trying solve the mystery behind the disappearance of Sridhar.Actors

This film revolves around a killer who suffers from a mental disorder which causes him to kill those who he is attracted to. Karishma Kapoor plays a girl from Delhi named Neha Chopra, who gets a new job as an interior designer at Nainital, and moves to lonely neighbourhood to pursue her career. She later falls in love with a man named Raj, who is played by Dino Morea. However, the cops inform her that he may be the killer of many young beautiful girls in the area, and she doubts the cops until something causes her to doubt him instead, so she decides to leave the city. The police officer Sunil Shetty asks her to see the condition of a sister of the killer who witnessed the murder, but is in coma. Seeing her terrible condition, Neha decides to stay and help with the case and acts as if she is in love with Raj. Raj who has lost the love from Neha has to now gain her trust back and save her from the dangers that await her.

The story follows Simran (Mallika Sherawat), a young woman married to Sudhir (Ashmit Patel), a workaholic and ex-husband of her dead sister.
