Add to a movie listHarold is a 2008 American comedy film co-written by Greg Fields and T. Sean Shannon, starring Spencer Breslin, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Nikki Blonsky, Ally Sheedy and Stella Maeve. The film is T. Sean Shannon's first full-length feature and is partially adapted from his earlier short film, which itself was adapted from one of his Saturday Night Live sketches. It was also released six years after the death of Greg Fields.
Harold was filmed in August 2007 in and around Great Neck, Long Island, New York, and had a limited release on July 11, 2008 in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City.
Synopsis
Harold Reynolds (Spencer Breslin) is a 13-year-old boy with early male pattern baldness. Harold seems to cope all right in his hometown, Douglasburg, until his mom, Maureen (Ally Sheedy), announces that they are moving to a new house in a new town. Harold panics because he had somewhat fit in with everyone at his old school, despite his baldness.Actors

Danny Muldoon (John Candy), a 38-year-old Chicago policeman, still lives with his overbearing Irish mother, Rose Muldoon (Maureen O'Hara). Nick Di Angelo (Rob Lowe) is working in a Las Vegas casino to earn enough money to pursue the woman of his dreams – Lady Victoria Wingate (Amanda Pays) – to Oxford, England, where, he believes, the only way to win her is to get into Oxford University and join the rowing team. Jessie Montgomery (Ally Sheedy) is a spoiled rich girl whose hard partying life style and lack of self-respect as well as a lack of respect for others. Donald Sinclair (John Cleese), the eccentric owner of The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, devises a new game to entertain the high rollers who visit his hotel. Conrad and Sally Walden live in the city of Anville with their single mother Joan Walden, who works for neat-freak Hank Humberfloob. One day, just as Mr. Humberfloob calls in a new member of the "Humberfloob Family", the new worker, Jim McFinnigan shakes his hand in thanks (shocking everyone, as they are aware that one will be fired if whom shakes his hand without permission), which angers Mr. Humberfloob, screaming "FIRED!", and Jim runs out crying. He then puts on hand sanitizer and firmly warns Joan that she will be fired if her house is messy for the upcoming meet and greet party. At the house, Conrad trashes the house, causing their dog Nevins to run down the street in fright. Joan punishes Conrad for a week while re-cleaning the house. Their next door neighbor, Lawrence Quinn, whom Joan is dating to Conrad's dismay, brings back Nevins, and Sally is grateful. When Lawrence leaves, Joan is called back to the office again, leaving the kids with Mrs. Kwan, a lethargic babysitter, and making sure they are forbidden to enter the living room, which is being kept pristine for the upcoming party. Lawrence is constantly on the lookout for any mischief that Conrad is up to, as he wants nothing more than to send him away to military school for the rest of his life, earning Conrad the reputation of "troublemaker", while his sister is characterized as "perfect and well-behaved".
