Two years have passed since Henry, Katharina, Tristan and Magdalena have become a family. Everyday life has returned, yet chaos breaks out. Henry begins a career as a film producer. For his first major film he has to work with the eccentric young actor Matthias Schweighöfer. Meanwhile, Katharina has become a mother and struggles with her role as a housewife and mother to baby Louis. She accuses Henry of taking no responsibility and seeks out her own apartment to give them a second chance. Tristan experiences his first midlife crises and Charlotte has left him to accept a job abroad. Tristan therefore enjoys his new freedom and gets a new young girlfriend Anna. Furthermore he moves in with Henry after Katharina moves out. The two men who now carry responsibility for Magdalena and the baby are becoming increasingly overwhelmed. So they hire an attractive nanny that moves in with them. This threatens Henry's possibility at a second chance with Katharina. Meanwhile, Magdalena falls in love with a boy for the first time., 2h19

Gowan McGland (Tom Conti) is a creatively blocked Scottish poet who ekes out a day-to-day existence by exploiting the generosity of strangers in an affluent Connecticut suburb, where he recites his verse to various arts groups and women's clubs. In a case of mistaken identity, a naive young columnist for the Daily Beast is sent to cover a war in Ishmaelia. A confused editor, Mr. Salter (Denholm Elliott), acting on the orders of his much feared 'boss', Lord Copper (Donald Pleasence), tells William Boot (Michael Maloney) to cover the ongoing war as the correspondent for the Beast. Boot normally writes about British country life, but is too timid, and worried about losing his job for good, to say otherwise when he is ordered overseas. Boot is soon up to his neck in intrigue. All the foreign journalists are confined to the capital of Ishmaelia, and they are not allowed to leave unless permission has been given by the Minister of Propaganda. The journalists stick together, drinking and trying to pass time, but they watch each other jealously for signs that someone may have a story to send home. However, Lord Hitchcock, the correspondent for the Daily Brute, is noticeably absent, and this sends the reporters on an insane quest into the desert in the hope of finding the sought-after 'scoop'. , 1h22

A tabloid reporter (Power) uses a scheme to meet Sara Farley (Tierney), a grocery-store heiress he's been writing unflattering things about. He gets her to start talking about herself and finds her down to earth. Tierney assumes he's going to write more lies, so she announces to the press that the two of them are married. In trying to get the truth out, he loses his job; what follows is classic farce and the stakes escalate. Finally, he sues her for libel and the courts takes it from there!
