Synopsis
Sami et Patrick sont amis de longue date. Sami est hypocondriaque. Un jour, à la suite d'un quiproquo à l'hôpital, Sami pense être atteint d'une maladie neurologique incurable. Il décide alors de vivre pleinement ses derniers moments et part en Inde se faire soigner par un grand "médecin" local. Entre-temps, son ami Patrick, qui l'accompagne et le soutient sans savoir que cette maladie n'est en fait que fictive, se retrouve sans femme ni travail. La situation initiale semble s'être inversée ; Patrick n'a plus de chance et Sami semble de moins en moins malade...Actors

M. Milan (Richard Berry) est un tueur à gages qui doit exécuter son « contrat » depuis sa chambre d'hôtel donnant sur le palais de justice de Nice où est attendu Randoni (Michel Aumont), témoin clé d'un procès en corruption et homme à abattre. Son voisin, François Pignon (Patrick Timsit), photographe de presse délaissé par son épouse (Virginie Ledoyen) qui l’a quitté pour le docteur Wolf (Pascal Elbé), un neurologue réputé, essaye de se suicider en se pendant à la tuyauterie de la salle de bains et provoque une inondation. Milan persuade le garçon d'hôtel de ne pas appeler la police, promettant de veiller lui-même sur le dépressif pour éviter une récidive. Il se trouve alors englué irrémédiablement dans les problèmes de Pignon au détriment de sa mission.

Michel Boudriau et Kim Houang, deux lieutenants de police, sont amis depuis leur enfance. Michel, naïf et très croyant, est marié et a six enfants. Kim qui a été adopté puis abandonné par des restaurateurs vietnamiens est célibataire et très avare. Les policiers passent des tests d'aptitude. Dans le même temps, en région parisienne se produit une série d’attentats à l’explosif revendiquant une somme de 15 millions d’euros. Le ministre de l’Intérieur enjoint à la directrice de la police Aude Letellier de charger de cette affaire les policiers les mieux notés aux tests d'aptitude : Michel et Kim sont désignés. En rencontrant Aude Letellier, Kim s'éprend de sa secrétaire Angela, qu’il invite aussitôt. Pour conduire Angela, le très économe Kim emprunte une voiture à la police. Il ignore qu’une bombe était placée dans cette voiture en vue d’un prochain attentat. La voiture explose devant le cabinet de la directrice de la police.

La Chèvre features Depardieu as the tough-guy private detective Campana, hired to find Marie, the daughter of a rich businessman, who has mysteriously disappeared while vacationing in Mexico. A teenaged boy has run away from home. His father is ineffective at finding him, so his mother contacts two former lovers from around the time her son was conceived, telling them both that the child is their son and asking them to look for him. One of them (Depardieu) is a tough journalist investigating the Mafia, while the other (Richard) is a timid former teacher who was on the verge of committing suicide when he received the telephone call. The two former boyfriends finally meet, and together they locate the son. They both argue who is really the father. In the end the son tells both Depardieu and Richard (while the other is out of earshot) that his mother thinks that he is the father. Thus, the son adopts both of them as his fathers, and also reconciles with his real father.

Seema (Taapsee Pannu) is a young girl who lives in Mumbai with her father (Anupam Kher). He, being an active military officer, wants Seema to marry a similar man. He had arranged Seema's marriage to such people five times in a row, with Seema evading all five arrangements. One day, Omi spots Seema taking a walk with her dog Aryabhatta. Attracted to her, he calls his friend Jai. Both of them try to impress her. One after the other, they break into Seema's house. Omi tries to impress Seema with his poetry. Meanwhile, Seema mistakes him for a dog trainer and takes him straight into her bedroom. Omi assumes Seema is interested him and starts browsing her bedroom while Seema prepares her dog [name of Dog is "Aryabhata" given in movie by writer] Unable to handle the dog, Omi runs back home, where he tells everyone a completely different story. Omi tells his friends that they had sex and were deeply in love. Jealous, Jai tries his luck. Jai breaks in, telling them he is a reputed film-maker. Upon realization, Seema calls her grandmother and makes her beat up Jai until he finally makes his run. Back home, Jai tells a similar story. Jai tells the other two that they two were deeply in love and were now dating. Siddharth, meanwhile, isn't interested in Seema.
