Synopsis
Alice and Sandrine are sisters. One is married to Serge, realtor, and offers piano lessons to occupy his time. The second has two son, Thomas and Nicolas, works in an advertising agency and occasionally sleeping with the director, Erwan. These two women with established routine will suddenly be confronted with a violent imponderable: their mother arrived from Lyon, with the intention of moving to Paris after a stormy divorce. This same mother who had leaked 20 years ago, this mother not love that had never occupied them and had never tried to contact them. The reunion, tumultuous, pushing Alice and Sandrine to strike a blow: they are absorbed sleeping pills to their mother they kidnap and sequester the house of Erwan, Brittany. With a very clear objective: to settle their accounts, and require that mother unworthy and odious to love them.Actors

Léna vient de se séparer de son mari Nigel et obtient la garde de ses deux enfants. Elle est cependant dans une période de grande confusion personnelle et sentimentale amplifiée par l'abandon de son travail d'anesthésiste à l'hôpital. Elle part passer quelques jours de vacances dans la maison familiale de Bretagne en compagnie de ses enfants, de ses parents et de sa sœur et son frère. Cependant sa mère Annie, avec l'accord de l'ensemble de la famille présente, décide d'inviter Nigel quelques jours pour lui permettre de voir ses enfants, tout en espérant secrètement un rabibochage du couple. Face au fait accompli, Léna s'irrite et dans un premier temps décide de partir immédiatement avant de se raviser. Les tensions entre les différents binômes composant la famille sont importantes avec cependant pour source commune la recherche difficile du bonheur individuel au sein du fragile équilibre des couples. Léna, étouffée par sa famille et son absence de repères dans sa vie, s'enfonce dans une période faite d'incertitudes et de décisions contradictoires.

Un petit garçon termine de dessiner un cerf-volant à l'étage d'une maison remplie de canettes de bière vides. Il empile ensuite des canettes pour en faire une pyramide, mais le tas finit par s'écrouler et par rouler dans l'escalier. Au rez-de-chaussée, une femme ivre regarde une série sentimentale à la télévision. C'est la mère du petit garçon, qu'elle appelle « Courgette ». Au bruit, elle se met en colère et commence à monter l'escalier menant à l'étage, en annonçant au garçon qu'elle va le battre. Effrayé, le garçon referme brusquement la trappe sur la tête de sa mère qui tombe dans l'escalier et ne bouge plus. Au commissariat, un policier, Raymond, prend la déposition du petit garçon qui s'appelle Icare, mais préfère être appelé Courgette. Il n'a plus de père, mais il l'a dessiné sur son cerf-volant qui ne le quitte jamais. Raymond explique à Courgette que sa mère « est partie » et qu'il va l'emmener dans un endroit où vivent des enfants comme lui, qui n'ont plus ni père ni mère : un orphelinat.

Simone, a former rocker, is a dedicated homemaker who works in a city of the suburbs of Lyon.
