Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, or simply Rogue One (previously known as Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One), is an upcoming American epic space opera film produced by Lucasfilm and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Set in between the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, Rogue One is intended to be the first film in the Star Wars Anthology series, a collection of stand-alone stories set in the Star Wars universe. Directed by Gareth Edwards from a script by Gary Whitta and Chris Weitz, which was based on an idea by visual effects supervisor John Knoll, the film stars Felicity Jones. Rogue One will be released on December 16, 2016. Principal photography began at Elstree Studios, near London during early August 2015.
Synopsis
L'univers de Star Wars tourne autour des tentatives de séparation d'un groupe favorable à un empire de la République galactique. Pour ce faire, les séparatistes entraînent des dirigeants de la République dans des affaires ingérables grâce aux manigances du Chancelier Suprême Palpatine, qui dit servir la démocratie tout en étant favorable à un empire. Pour maintenir la paix en place, les Jedi combattent les ennemis de la République, mais ceux-ci doivent faire face aux Seigneurs Sith (dont Palpatine est secrètement membre, sous le nom de Dark Sidious), tous sont sensibles à la Force, une capacité d'origine physiologique qui permet à leurs détenteurs d'acquérir certains pouvoirs surnaturels.Actors

In 1954, a nuclear bomb is detonated at the moment a giant creature emerges from the ocean. In 1999, Project Monarch scientists Ishiro Serizawa and Vivienne Graham investigate a colossal skeleton unearthed in a collapsed mine in the Philippines. They find two spores; one dormant and one hatched that made a trail into the sea. In Japan, the Janjira Nuclear Power Plant experiences unusual seismic activity and Supervisor Joe Brody sends his wife Sandra and a team of technicians into the reactor. A tremor breaches the reactor, leaving Sandra and her team unable to escape while the plant collapses.

The CIA lost trace of Jason Bourne's whereabouts in Moscow six weeks ago. In 1959, student Lucinda Embry (Lara Robinson) hears whispers as she stares at the sun. When her class is chosen to contribute to the school's time capsule, each child is asked to draw what they believe the future will look like. Lucinda writes a page of seemingly random numbers and adds it to her elementary school's time capsule, which is set to be opened in 50 years. During the Clone Wars, Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead a small Republic clone army against the Separatist droid army on the planet Christophsis.
