It stars Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, with Pankaj Kapur and Sanjay Kapoor in supporting roles. The Times of India described Shaandar as "India's first destination wedding film". Principal photography began in August 2014 in Leeds, and the film is released on 22 October 2015 and coinciding with Dussehra.
Synopsis
Alia a été adoptée enfant dans des circonstances jamais éclaircies. Elle conserve un lien très fort avec son père adoptif, dans la famille Arora sous la coupe de la mère et de la femme de celui-ci. Sous des dehors très riches, la famille espère se sauver de la banqueroute en mariant Eesha, la sœur d'Alia, à une famille qui roule sur l'or. Les deux familles se retrouvent dans un château au Royaume-Uni pour la cérémonie, arrangée par un certain JJ, qui comme Alia, est insomniaque. La famille du fiancé, les Fundwani, arrive dans des scintillements d'or, mais s'avère dans une aussi mauvaise posture financière que les Arora et souhaite ce mariage pour les mêmes raisons cachées.Actors

This film is about a gang of innocent but feisty kids who lead carefree lives in Chandan Nagar colony that takes on the big bad world of politics when one of their friend's life is endangered. It starts with an introduction to the lead actors, who live in Chandan Nagar Society. Each of the eight children has his own identity and a nickname based on these qualities. Akram is the fast bowler (Ramashankar), Encyclopedia is the mastermind (Arjun). Not only that, but their whole team has a nickname – CHILLAR PARTY. They explain that they have mainly two enemies with the 'over-sized' neighbouring cricket team to whom they always lose, and a dog to whom they have given a name – Loose Motion, since it has a tendency to make messes. So they develop an enmity against dogs. Their hopes are shattered shortly after a boy- Fatka who was employed for washing the cars of the society, enters with his dog Bhidu. They do everything to throw the boy and his dog out, but become unsuccessful. Eventually they develop a friendship with each other as Fatka helps them by serving as the lead bowler during the match with the neighbouring cricket team. But their happiness is short-lived when a reckless politician, welfare minister Shashikant Bhide, enters their life after his personal secretary is attacked by Bhidu for hurting Fatka.

Karan(Shahid Kapoor) is a shy and nerdy canteen boy and college student, running a café with his friend Murugan (Johnny Lever), and Tanya (Rimi Sen) is a student in the same college. The scientist had stored a secret code in a stuffed toy, a parrot, now being sought by Mehboob, and he had been able to hide the toy in Tanya's car before being killed. Unawares, Tanya leaves the toy at home before fleeing the country, and the toy is later picked up by Karan, who himself is not aware of Tanya's predicament.

Kavya, (Alia Bhatt) who’s engaged to an NRI American doctor Angad (Siddharth Shukla), decides to go to Delhi to buy an expensive designer bridal dress for her wedding, after her father refuses to get her the costly designer dress. She, however, befriends him. Kavya confides in Humpty that her friend in Delhi, Gurpreet, was blackmailed by her ex-boyfriend, who had secretly filmed a sex sequence of the two. Humpty stumbles upon the idea of victimizing Gurpreet’s ex that would also avenge Gurpreet, and gather the money for the wedding dress for Kavya. They manage to get some money, but Kavya isn’t happy about the way that money is obtained. However, the ensuing adventures make Kavya fall for Humpty, and the night before she’s supposed to return home to Ambala, they sleep together.They had sex under a black sheet fully nude. Humpty took kavya's virginity. When Humpty asks her if she loves him, she says she won’t go against the wishes of her father, who has arranged her marriage with an NRI. In order to help Humpty get the money for Kavya’s dress, Humpty’s father and friends chip in. Kavya reluctantly accepts the money and leaves Delhi.
