Skin Trade is a 2014 action thriller film directed by Ekachai Uekrongtham, and starring Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Michael Jai White, and Ron Perlman. Lundgren wrote the film; along with Gabriel Dowrick and Steven Elder, while John Hyams performed uncredited script revisions. The film centers around New Jersey police detective Nick Cassidy, as he travels to Asia intent on killing the man responsible for murdering his wife and daughter, mobster Viktor Dragovic. He is also set on destroying Dragovic's human trafficking network.

Development started in 2007, after Lundgren read news about a group of girls being smuggled into the United States from Mexico. The girls were left in a vehicle along the border; trapped inside, they all succumbed to heat stroke and suffocation. Produced on a $9 million budget, the film was shot over 50 days in Canada and Thailand. It was the first film to be shot in English by an organization based in Asia (outside of Hong Kong) for an international theatrical release.

The film premiered at the American Film Market on November 7, 2014. A limited theatrical release followed, starting on April 9, 2015 in the United Arab Emirates, and succeeded by Thailand (on April 23); Malaysia (on April 30); and the United States (on May 8). The film received mostly negative reviews; particular criticism was aimed at Jaa's English, and at the film's scant focus on human trafficking. Skin Trade grossed $384 thousand at the worldwide box office. It was released through Video-on-Demand on April 23, 2015, followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on August 25 later that year.

Ashanti is an action adventure film, set against the background of modern day slave trading, with a man who determinedly takes on a perilous journey in order to find his beautiful wife, who has been kidnapped by brutal slave traders. David and Anansa Linderby (Caine and Johnson respectively) are doctors with the World Health Organization. On a medical mission carrying out an inoculation programme, they visit a West African village. While David takes photographs of tribal dancers, Anansa goes swimming alone. She is attacked and abducted by slave traders led by Suleiman (Peter Ustinov), who mistake her for an Ashanti tribeswoman. The police can do nothing to find her and David has almost given up hope when he hears rumours that Anansa has been kidnapped by Sulieman to be sold to Arab Prince Hassan (Omar Sharif). In 1300 BC, Moses, a general and member of the royal family, prepares to attack the Hittite army with Prince Ramesses. A High Priestess of Sekhmet (the war goddess) divines a prophecy from animal intestines, which she relates to Ramesses' father, Seti I. He tells the two men of the prophecy, in which one (of Moses and Ramesses) will save the other and become a leader. During the attack on the Hittites, Moses saves Ramesses' life, leaving both men troubled. Later, Moses is sent to the city of Pithom to meet with the Viceroy Hegep, who oversees the Hebrew slaves. Upon his arrival, he encounters the slave Joshua, who is the descendant of Joseph, and Moses is appalled by the horrific conditions of the slaves. Shortly afterwards, Moses meets Nun, who informs him of his true lineage; he is the child of Hebrew parents who was sent by his sister Miriam to be raised by Pharaoh's daughter. Moses is stunned at the revelation and leaves angrily. However, two Hebrews also overhear Nun's story and report their discovery to Hegep.
