Starring Venkatesh, Meena, Sanghavi and Radhika in the lead roles and soundtrack is composed by S. A. Rajkumar. The film is a remake of the Kollywood film Suryavamsam (1997). The film was remade into Bollywood as Sooryavansham starring Amitabh Bachan and Soundarya. This story is also remade in Kannada as Surya Vamsha (2000) with Vishnuvardhan and Isha Koppikar in lead roles. The film recorded as Super Hit at box office.
Synopsis
Harischandra Prasad (Venkatesh) the arbitrator and most respected person in a village and sees through that all the people lives happily, he has strong enmity Singaraju Lingaraju (Anand Raj) opponent to him in village. Harichandra Prasad has a big family his wife Vasudhana (Radhika), three sons, one daughter, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Though he is being the father of three sons, he dislikes his third son Bhanu Prasad (again Venkatesh) because of Bhanu being illiterate but he is devoted and benevolent son to his father, Bhanu has to do menial household work and has substantially no kinship with family.Actors

Naattamai (Sarathkumar) is a very kind-hearted, disciplined man. He sits on the ancestral throne in his village to do justice (similar to panchayat). He hears all the cases and gives solutions and punishments to the wrong-doers. His wife, Khushboo admires and respects him a lot. His brothers Pasupathi (sarathkumar) and Raja Ravindra fear for him and also have a lot of respect for him as he has brought them up as his children. The young Sarathkumar marries Meena, daughter of an industrialist. She at first never liked Naatamai and her husband for being so timid before his brother but later transforms after knowing his greatness from her father.Raja Ravindra loves his paternal cousin(Ponnambalam)'s daughter (Sanghavi). In the flashback, Periya Naatamai(Vijayakumar) father of naatamai orders Ponnambalam to marry his servant's daughter whom he raped, though he is his sister's son. His brother-in-law shoots at him as he is disappointed by his verdict.Enraged Periya Naatamai gives his final verdict before dying to abandon their family and whoever visits his house will receive the same punishment and also not to share even a glass of water with them. Ponnambalam from then builds envy on his uncle's family and waits for an opportunity to take revenge on them. He plans to bring a lady (Subhashri) as a teacher to the school in the village and tells her to make young Sarathkumar fall for her. She does so to save her father who is in the hands of Ponnambalam. He kills her and makes the villagers believe that Sarathkumar has done this. Naatamai sentences 10 years of exile for his brother's family. Now Ponnambalam comes to know of his daughter's love and tries to kill Raja Ravindra with the help of his goons. Sarathkumar goes in rescue of him and pregnant Meena goes to Naatamai to convey this message. Manorama rushes to Nattamai and reveals the truth and tells that he punished his brother without committing any mistake. Naatamai takes revenge on Ponnambalam and dies on knowing that he gave a wrong verdict. Now younger Sarathkumar is shown taking the ancestral throne from his brother.

Raghavendra (Venkatesh), Vishnu (Srikanth), Chinna (Siva Balaji) and Vamsi (Sharwanand) are brothers. Raghavendra and Padma (Arti Agarwal) fall in love and they are relatives as well. In 1961, the financially strapped author Pamela "P. L." Travers reluctantly travels from her home in London to Los Angeles to work with Walt Disney at the urging of her agent, Diarmuid Russell. Disney has pursued the film rights to her Mary Poppins stories for twenty years, having promised his daughters that he would produce a film based on them. Travers has steadfastly resisted Disney's efforts because she fears what he would do to her character. However, she has not written anything in a while and her book royalties have dwindled to nothing, so she risks losing her house. Still, Russell has to remind her that Disney has agreed to two major stipulations - no animation and unprecedented script approval - before she agrees to go.
