In 2004, the King of Morocco launched an Equity and Reconciliation Commission to investigate state violence during the Years of Lead. For three years, the film follows four families in their search for the truth: Activist, young rebel soldier or simple citizen, either they or their relations were imprisoned in different parts of Morocco. Each person tries to "find out", discover a "reason", to be able to mourn. But forty years later, the state secret finally unveils the existence of another, more intimate secret, the family secret. They all feel the need to reconstruct history and recover their parents, taken from them twice over, once by their disappearance and another by the secret. Choosing between deeply set silences, lies and taboos within and outside the families, over forty years.

Ce film est centré sur Badia, une jeune femme de 20 ans. Elle travaille avec son amie Imane dans une usine de décorticage de crevettes à Tanger. Mais elles rêvent de travailler dans la zone franche de la ville, en tant qu'ouvrières textiles(payé au mois et non à la tâche). En attendant, elles font la connaissance de deux jeunes femmes, Nawal et Asma qui usent elles aussi de leur charme pour arrondir les fins de mois qu'elles passent, elles, à l'usine tant convoitée des vêtements européens. Ensemble, elles commencent à monter des coups d'une toute autre ampleur que les vols auxquels elles s'étaient habituées. Mais le casse d'une cargaison de smartphones tourne mal et ramène le film à sa scène initiale.

The plot is loosely connected to the documental stories published in Jim Corbett's 1944 bestselling book Man-Eaters of Kumaon. Narrator of the film is Jim Corbett. In the film, Corbett, who is portrayed by Christopher Heyerdahl, is asked to kill a man-eating tiger who killed a young woman in Kumaon. Corbett arrives to Kumaon and meets with local people. The sister (Mishra Smriti) of the victim takes Corbett to the killing site. They together ambush the man-eater and Corbett kills the tiger from the machan. During this plot, the narration (by Corbett) contains stories of the history of India and the Kumaon region, as well as the efforts to save Indian tigers.
