The Bombing (Chinese: 大轰炸) is an upcoming Chinese action war-drama film directed by Xiao Feng, about the Japanese bombings on on Chinese city Chongqing during the World War II. The film stars Bruce Willis, Song Seung-heon, Nicholas Tse, and Liu Ye. Principal photography began in May 2015 in Shanghai, China. The film is scheduled for release in March 2016.

Synopsis

Set in 1943 during the World War II, the story revolves around the Japanese bombings on Chinese city Chongqing, which started in 1938.

The year is 1928 in Gyeong-seong (modern-day Seoul), Korea. During World War II, U.S. Army intelligence officer First Lieutenant Thomas Hart (Farrell) is captured by German forces. To save themselves, the POWs leave the train and spell P-O-W with their bodies and prevent further strafing.
