It has been characterized as "[s]urely the most hideous success of the anti-Semitic films" made during the Nazi era. The film's title in German is Der Ewige Jude, the German term for the character of the "Wandering Jew" in medieval folklore. At the insistence of Nazi Germany's Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, the film was directed by Fritz Hippler. The screenplay is credited to Eberhard Taubert. The film consists of feature and documentary footage combined with materials filmed shortly after the Nazi occupation of Poland. At this time Poland's Jewish population was about three million, roughly ten percent of the total population. Actor Harry Giese (1903–1991) narrated.
Synopsis
Le Juif éternel est une contribution à l’idéologie nazie. Il dépeint l’idée d’un complot international ourdi par les Juifs de l’Est (de nombreuses scènes ont été tournées en Pologne) et les Juifs de l’Ouest, dans la tradition des Protocoles des Sages de Sion. Il met tout en œuvre pour dépeindre les Juifs comme des sous-hommes et a pour but de montrer qu’ils sont un peuple auquel il faut s’opposer, dénonçant leur façon de vivre, leur histoire, leurs coutumes… Ainsi, le documentaire prétend dévoiler les véritables traits du « Juif éternel », d’après les nazis.Actors

En septembre 1894, le service de renseignement français prend connaissance d'un incident d'espionnage à Paris. Des secrets militaires auraient été transmis à l'attaché militaire allemand à Paris, Maximilian von Schwartzkoppen. « Dans l'intérêt de l'armée », dit-on, le ministre de la Guerre Auguste Mercier doit rapidement trouver un coupable. Le 15 octobre de la même année, Alfred Dreyfus, capitaine au sein de l'état-major, d'origine juive, né en Alsace, jusqu'alors totalement innocent, est arrêté sur la base d'éléments de preuve légèrement construits. L'agitation antisémite dans la presse, l'armée et la politique crée rapidement un chaudron contre le traître présumé à Paris dans les années 1890.

In 1982, Ari Folman was a nineteen-year-old infantry soldier in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). In 2006, he meets with a friend from his army service period, who tells him of the nightmares connected to his experiences from the Lebanon War. Folman is surprised to find that he remembers nothing from that period. Later that night he has a vision from the night of the Sabra and Shatila massacre, the reality of which he is unable to clearly recall. In his memory, he and his soldier comrades are bathing at night by the seaside in Beirut under the light of flares descending over the city.

Les Stalags sont des livres de poche dont les intrigues tournent autour de vigoureuses femmes officier SS qui abusent des prisonniers. Au cours des années 1960, parallèlement au procès contre le criminel de guerre nazi Adolf Eichmannl, les ventes de cette littérature pornographique ont battu tous les records en Israël et des centaines de milliers d’exemplaires ont été vendus dans les kiosques. La popularité des Stalags a faibli seulement après le procès contre leurs auteurs qui ont été accusés de distribution pornographique antisémite. Ce film traite de ce phénomène, et confirme aussi que la combinaison de pornographie et Holocauste apparaît également dans la littérature canonique sur l’Holocauste et qui continue jusqu’à présent à faire partie de la représentation de l’Holocauste en Israël.

Night and Fog is a documentary that alternates between past and present and features both black-and-white and color footage. The first part of Night and Fog shows remnants of Auschwitz while the narrator Michel Bouquet describes the rise of Nazi ideology. The film continues with comparisons of the life of the Schutzstaffel to the starving prisoners in the camps. Bouquet then addresses the sadism inflicted upon the doomed inmates, including torture, scientific and medical "experiments", executions, and prostitution. The next section is shown completely in black-and-white, and depicts images of gas chambers and piles of bodies. The final topic of the film depicts the liberation of the country, the discovery of the horror of the camps, and the questioning of who was responsible for them.
