Synopsis
En compagnie de quelques amis étudiants, Richard Strand organise un week-end à l'écart de toute civilisation, dans un chalet perdu au fond des bois. Là, tous se livrent, parlent de leurs terreurs les plus intimes, les plus refoulées. Troy avoue que les insectes le pétrifient, Leslie que la perspective de vieillir lui glace le sang, Tanya, que la moindre étendue d'eau la plonge dans un état second... Soudain, ils découvrent, dans un grenier, Morthy, un mannequin de bois datant des années 20, abolit la frontière qui sépare cauchemar et réalité. Dès lors, ce qui n'était qu'une paisible et luxuriante forêt devient le plus cruel des pièges. Un piège qui se referme sur six innocents.Actors

Jeune boxeur et fleuriste, Chris Kronberger est fou amoureux de la médium Magda Berger. Mais, un soir, son compagnon magicien et ventriloque Hans est assassiné dans sa loge. In 2004, the puppets along with the formula are now in the ownership of Andre Toulon's great-grandnephew Robert Toulon and his daughter Alexandra. Robert and his daughter are both very brainy and very childlike and collect, fix and build dolls and puppets for a living. Ever since Robert inherited his great-grandfather's puppets he has been trying to create his own life force potion based on Toulon's diary entries using alcohol and blood (which according to Robert and Alex is sacred). One Christmas Eve, Alex and Robert finally figure out how to make the potion and bring the puppets to life. Toulon explains to the awakened puppets who he is and they are quick to accept their new master.

Charles Lee Ray also nicknamed 'Chucky' and the 'Lakeshore Strangler' is a wanted fugitive and is on the run from the police in the streets of Chicago in November 1988. In 1939 Bodega Bay, California, an old puppeteer named Andre Toulon is putting the finishing touches on a living puppet named Jester. A living oriental puppet, named Shredder Khan, stares out of the window for Blade. Meanwhile, Blade scouts the grounds of the Bodega Bay Inn that Andre is staying. Two Nazi spies get out of a car and head for Toulon's room but Blade beats them there and Andre puts Blade, Jester and Shredder Khan into a chest with the Indian puppet, named Gengie, before hiding the chest in a wall panel. As the Nazis break down the door, Toulon shoots himself in the mouth with a pistol.

Shortly after the events of the previous film, Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), a former girlfriend and accomplice of serial killer Charles Lee Ray (voice of Brad Dourif), acquires the remains of Chucky from a police evidence locker after bribing and then murdering a police officer with access to the locker. Assuming that Ray's soul still inhabits the doll, Tiffany takes it back to her place. She crudely stitches Chucky back together and reenacts the voodoo ritual which instilled Ray inside the doll ten years ago.
