It follows a new immigrant from Africa who arrives in Brussels and encounters numerous ongoings and people. As there is good and bad, so there is the same in the visitor, who may try to be nice or nasty in the place he is in. Kabongo received a Magritte Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Synopsis
Des hommes à la peau noire sont rejetés par la mer sur une plage naturiste du sud de l'Europe. Certains sont morts. Deux d'entre eux se retrouvent à Bruxelles, exploités par des marchands de sommeil, et tentent vaille que vaille de survivre. Amadou, qui se fait appeler Obama, séduit Agnès, une femme d'affaires, mais est rapidement rejeté par celle-ci. Amadou est alors pris d'une fièvre vengeresse et tue ceux qui l'ont exploité.Actors

Shlomo, an Ethiopian boy, is placed by his Christian mother with an Ethiopian Jewish woman whose child has died. This woman, who will become his adoptive mother, is about to be airlifted from a Sudanese refugee camp to Israel during Operation Moses in 1984. His birth mother, who hopes for a better life for him, tells him “Go, live, and become,” as he leaves her to board the plane. The film tells of his growing up in Israel and how he deals with the secrets he carries: not being Jewish and having left his birth mother.

En 1974, à l'époque du regroupement familial, Zouina, une maghrébine d'une trentaine d'années arrive d'Algérie avec ses trois enfants pour s'installer à Saint-Quentin, en Picardie, sous l'étroite surveillance de sa belle-mère Aïcha. Philippe is a former teacher who left everything to become a shepherd in the French Pyrenees. After the construction of a nuclear power plant near his sheep, he decided to leave the area. Elias (Riccardo Scamarcio) is an immigrant in his twenties who tries to get to Europe by a boat along with other illegal immigrants. When the boat is near the Greek shores and they hope they will soon disembark, a marine patrol approaches and Elias jumps into the sea in order to avoid arrest. So do the other people in the boat. He wakes up next morning in a shore with nudists, which is not so bad after all, since he has lost some of his clothes while he was swimming for quite a few hours. He pretends to be a nudist himself, steals some clothes and he pretends he is an employee of the hotel “Eden Club-Paradise”. Some residents consider him to be an employee and some others a client like themselves. He meets a magician (Ulrich Tukur) who hires him for a few tricks and since Elias is fairly good, Nick Nickelby, as the magician is called in the movie, tells him “if you find yourself in Paris, come and find me”. Elias considers it an invitation and a great opportunity. Going to Paris becomes an obsession.
