Synopsis
Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le projet Philadeplhia Experiment a pour but de rendre les navires de la flotte américaine invisibles à ses ennemis. Le navire Eldrige tente l’expérience et disparaît littéralement, avant de revenir vidé de son équipage. En 2012, une équipe de scientifiques reprennent le projet d'invisibilité et l'essaie sur une automobile. C'est alors que, non loin de Philadelphie, l'Eldrige réapparaît sur une piste d’atterrissage avec à son bord un Navy, Bill Gardner. Celui-ci vient de faire un bond de 70 ans dans l'avenir. Instable, le bateau se téléporte à quelques reprises à travers le monde (Philadelphie, Chicago, Nevada...), ce qui préoccupe le gouvernement qui, bien que désirant cette technologie, ne veut pas laisser fuiter l'existence de tels phénomènes. Alors que celui-ci essaie par tous les moyens de détruire le navire, tuer Gardner et effacer toute trace de cet incident temporel, Bill tente plutôt de retourner en 1943 avec l'Eldrige et ainsi changer le cours de l'histoire.Actors

A fisherman named Will is fishing with his crew in a large thunderstorm. A college football team's plane crashes in the Himalayas. The survivors, consisting of Sarah, Peyton, Raven, Ashley, Dennis, Kyra, Rice, Andrew, and Garcia, have only three energy bars for food. In order to become a member of a fraternity, the applicants have to go through initiation rituals to show their loyalty. Way back in the 1960s, someone played a nasty trick on the student Sidney Scheider: He had to take a bath in a tub filled with cornflakes and coffee grounds, vinegar and even more disgusting substances. Nothing unusual so far but someone had replaced the water with pure acid. Sidney was seriously wounded and died a horrible death. By the year 2038 all of Earth's natural resources have been depleted. Multinational corporations have taken control of the galaxy and rival companies battle each other for access to mining planets. A major battle is for Moon 44, a fuel mining operation in the Outer Zone. It is the only installation still controlled by the Galactic Mining corporation. Moons 46, 47 and 51 have recently been overtaken by the Pyrite Defense Company's battle robots. Galactic Mining had its own defence system, helicopters capable of operating in the violent atmospheres of the moons, but it was cancelled as too many pilots died while in training. The company sends new navigators to Moon 44 to assist the pilots. However, there is still a shortage of pilots, so the company is forced to use prisoners. Galactic Mining regards its fleet of mining shuttles as even more important, so if the base is attacked, the shuttles are ordered to leave the crews behind.

The film begins in a jungle at nighttime as a mercenary squad scouts the nearby area looking out for modified super soldiers ("Trigens" in the Game), only to be slaughtered by a lone Mutant.
