The film had its world premiere on August 14, 2014 in Singapore and had a limited theatrical release in the United States on August 22 of the same year. It was released on to video on demand on August 26, 2014. It stars Shane Johnson as a widowed, atheist filmmaker who finds himself the target of demonic forces.
Synopsis
After his beloved wife Samantha (Cara Pifko) dies after receiving poor advice from a psychic, atheist Michael (Shane Johnson) decides to focus on the supernatural for his next film as a way to disprove the existence of God and the Devil. He chooses to achieve this by visiting various people and having them perform various spells and rituals on him. He begins with Beverly (Dale Dickey), the psychic who was partially at fault for Samantha's death. From here he ends up in various different scenarios, all of which involve the supernatural. However even as Michael does this in the hopes of reaffirming his own atheism, he becomes the focus of several dark, supernatural forces that are intent on exerting their influence on him.Actors

In medieval Germany, the Teutonic Knights massacre a village of supposed "witches" and build the titular structure over their dead bodies. In the present day, the church's new librarian (Tomas Arana) breaks the seal of the crypt out of curiosity and releases the evil spirits contained beneath it. At the same time, the church's automated mechanisms, which were set up by the architect who built the church, are triggered, causing the doors to close and trapping everyone inside, including a group of visitors. Father Gus (Hugh Quarshie), the only person not affected by the demons, eventually finds the way to make the church collapse on itself but dies in the process of doing so. Before the movie ends, Lotte (Asia Argento), the sacristan's daughter and the sole survivor of the incident, is seen walking towards the ruins of the church. She finds the seal of the crypt, opens it and peers inside. Blue light emits from within, just like when the librarian first opened it, and she smiles.

When he was a child Roscoe (James Sizemore and Emmett Eckert) was frequently visited by Dimwos (John Chatham), an elder demon that would visit Roscoe at night. One day Dimwos lures Roscoe into a portal that takes him to a strange world where Dimwos teaches Roscoe various things, including his ancient language. Roscoe manages to flee by crossing back through the portal to the human world but ends up taking the three demons with him. This all causes conflict within Roscoe, as this clashes with what Dimwos had led him to believe. Now Roscoe must track down the three demons and battle them into submission while also trying to deal with the evil they're unleashing on the unsuspecting world.

Two men enter a room in a castle; one offers a chair to the other, and then exits. The remaining man attempts to sit down, but the chair moves away from him and he falls to the ground.
