Add to a movie listSous un autre jour (The Upside) est un film américain réalisé par Neil Burger, sorti en 2017. Il s'agit d'un remake du film français Intouchables (2011) d'Olivier Nakache et Éric Toledano, lui-même inspiré de la vie de Philippe Pozzo di Borgo.
Il est présenté au Festival international du film de Toronto 2017, mais ne sort dans les salles qu'en 2019 en raison de l'affaire Harvey Weinstein, ce dernier dirigeant la société The Weinstein Company produisant le film.
Le film est un succès : il obtient des critiques positives, saluant les prestations de Bryan Cranston et de Kevin Hart, tout en récoltant plus de 122 millions de dollars de recettes.
Synopsis
Il s'agit d'une reprise américaine du film Intouchables. Un milliardaire handicapé, Phillip Lacasse, pense que la vie ne mérite plus d'être vécue jusqu'au jour où son quotidien est dynamisé par l'arrivée de l'excentrique Dell Scott, un ancien détenu en liberté conditionnelle qu'il engage pour l'aider dans ses tâches quotidiennes. Opposés sur le plan social, les deux hommes deviennent rapidement des amis et Phillip reprend goût à la vie grâce à son nouvel ami...Actors

Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper), a struggling author suffering from writer's block, living in New York, is stressed by an approaching deadline. His girlfriend Lindy (Abbie Cornish), frustrated with his lack of progress and financial dependence, breaks up with him. Later, Eddie happens to run into Vernon (Johnny Whitworth), the estranged brother of Eddie's ex-wife, Melissa (Anna Friel). Vernon, involved with a pharmaceutical company, gives Eddie a sample of a new "smart drug", NZT-48. After taking the pill, Eddie finds himself able to learn and analyze at a superhuman rate and recall memories from his distant past, with the only apparent side effect being a change in the color of Eddie's irises while on the drug—his eyes becoming an intense shade of electric blue. Under the influence, he cleans his messy apartment and writes ninety pages of his book. The next day, the effects having worn off, he seeks out Vernon in an attempt to get more. While Eddie is out running an errand, Vernon is murdered. Eddie returns, calls the police and then discovers Vernon's NZT stash just before they arrive, taking it for himself. After giving a statement at the precinct, Eddie returns home and begins ingesting the drug daily. With the help of the drug's amazing effects, Eddie spends a few weeks cleaning up his life—finishing his book, getting fit, and making friends with a group of young jet-setters, who take him on vacation to Europe, where he mingles with the rich. During all this, Eddie tests out his enhanced learning abilities; he becomes a proficient piano player in just three days, as well as becoming fluent in several languages.

At the end of the 21st century, Earth is devastated by chemical warfare. Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) is a glossy 35-year-old sports agent working for Sports Management International (SMI). After having a life-altering epiphany about his role as a sports agent, he writes a mission statement about perceived dishonesty in the sports management business and his desire to work with fewer clients so as to produce better quality. In turn, Management decides to send Bob Sugar (Jay Mohr), Jerry's protégé, to fire him. Jerry and Sugar call all of Jerry's clients to try convincing them not to hire the services of the other. Sugar secures most of Jerry's previous clients. Jerry speaks to Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding, Jr.), one of his clients who is disgruntled with his contract. Rod tests Jerry's resolve through a very long telephone conversation while Sugar is able to convince the rest of Jerry's clients to stick with SMI instead. Leaving the office, Jerry announces that he will start his own agency and asks if anyone is willing to join him, to which only 26-year-old single mother Dorothy Boyd (Renée Zellweger) agrees. Meanwhile, Frank "Cush" Cushman (Jerry O'Connell), a superstar quarterback prospect who expects to be the number one pick in the NFL Draft, also stays with Jerry after he makes a visit to the Cushman home. However, Sugar is able to convince Cushman and his father at the last minute to sign with SMI over Jerry. Cushman's father implies they decided to sign with Sugar over Jerry when they saw Jerry attending to Tidwell; an African-American player, versus his son (a white player).
