Softball player Lisa Jorgenson (Reese Witherspoon) is devastated when she is left off the Team USA roster. She also receives an intriguing phone call from a young executive, George Madison (Paul Rudd), who was advised by a friend of Lisa's to give her a call. George calls out of politeness because he wants to explain that his relationship with his girlfriend has just become more serious. But life takes an abrupt turn for the worse for George when he suddenly finds himself the target of a federal criminal investigation for corporate malfeasance at a company run by his father, Charles Madison (Jack Nicholson). George is fired from his job and abandoned by the company, with the exception of his father and his pregnant secretary, Annie (Kathryn Hahn).

Maxime is overwhelmed boss of a company working ambulance. Deceived by his wife, he refuses to forgive her. He learns that his mother Olga, a woman with strong character - who refuses submission and the world today - is in custody after being interposed in a brawl. He moved to Bordeaux to get out of jail. Maxime knows that Olga and her father Jacques reports are not looking good, but it takes her. On the way back, Olga divert the route to go for the black boy Tiemoko, son of an African deportable without papers, to hide the home away from authorities. Maxime take the opportunity to spend a few days with her parents, away from his occupational and marital troubles. Despite the quarrels of his parents, he discovered his mother's concern for her father, who, under the air of jovial loving good bottles and cigarettes banned his wife is in poor health. The son and rediscover the feelings of love and generosity of his parents, his "heroes" torque model in which he seeks a way to overcome his own problems. The small Tiemoko just cement this family solutions.

Foodfight! takes place in the "Marketropolis" supermarket. After closing time, the supermarket transforms into a city in which all the citizens are personified well-known marketing icons, A.K.A. "Ikes". The story opens with the protagonist Dex Dogtective (Sheen) saving kittens before he tells his friend, Daredevil Dan (Brady), that he is about to ask his girlfriend Sunshine Goodness (Duff) to marry him. However, Dan attempts to draw a picture of Dex proposing but crashes and Sunshine goes to assist Dan before Dex can propose. Dan returns, but has no idea of what happened to Sunshine.

In 1961, the Soviet Union launches its first ballistic missile nuclear submarine, the K-19. The ship is led by Captain Alexei Vostrikov, aided by executive officer Mikhail Polenin. Polenin, the original captain, and the crew have served together for some time but Vostrikov's appointment is alleged to have been aided by his wife's political connections. During his first inspection, Vostrikov discovers the submarine's reactor officer to be drunk and asleep on duty. Vostrikov sacks the officer and orders Polenin to request a replacement. The new reactor officer, Vadim Radtchenko, arrives direct from nuclear school having just been fresh from the naval academy, annoying Polenin who thinks Vostrikov was too punitive on the former reactor officer who was competent despite his momentary lapse of judgment. Also, during the preparation period for the sub's launch, the ship's medical officer is killed when struck by an oncoming truck, and is subsequently replaced by the command's foremost medical officer, an army officer who has graciously offered himself in the submarine's time of need, but also privately admits to Vostrikov that as an army officer he has never been out to sea and suffers from motion sickness. During the K-19's official launch, the bottle of champagne fails to break when it strikes the bow; the sailors nervously glance at each other due to this customary sign of bad luck.

The military tried to increase the team's powers by exposing them to an experimental form of radiation called "Gamma-13". This caused Concussion to become more powerful, but it also reversed his personality. Thinking Zoom and the team betrayed him, Concussion went insane and killed his teammates Marksman, Ace, and Daravia. Concussion was believed to be killed by Zoom in an explosion, but he had been sent into another dimension instead. Zoom lost his powers, and his brother.
