Abraham Charles "Abe" Vigoda (/vɨˈɡoʊdə/; born February 24, 1921) is an American movie and television actor.
Vigoda is most notable for his portrayal of Sal Tessio in the Francis Ford Coppola film The Godfather, for the film Joe Versus the Volcano, and for his portrayal of Detective Sgt. Phil Fish on the television sitcom series Barney Miller from 1975 to 1977 and on its spinoff show Fish that aired from February 1977 to June 1978 on ABC.
After mistaken reports of his death in 1982 and 1987, Vigoda has been the subject of running gags as to whether he is dead or alive.

Biography
Vigoda was married to Beatrice Schy from February 25, 1968, until her death on April 30, 1992. The couple had one daughter, Carol. Vigoda enjoys playing handball, and stated in an interview that he was "almost" a champion at the game in his youth.Best films

On the first day of summer, dim-witted but kind-hearted Ed has a nightmare about talking hamburgers. Troubled by it, he shows up late to work at Good Burger. On the same morning, Dexter, a high school student, steals his mother's car after she leaves for a business trip. He accidentally crashes into his teacher Mr. Wheat's car. Billy (Lance Robinson) defies his mother (Karin Wolfe) and father (Craig Sechler) and makes a secret trip from Long Island to Philadelphia to sneak his grandfather (Abe Vigoda) out of a nursing home and bring him home for the holidays. The convelescent home's inhabitants distract the staff so Billy and his confused Grandfather can make their escape. The cross path with a street gang whose leader (Aries Spears) commands a pursuit. They are given a hiding place by concerned homeless man Buzzard Bracken (Sherman Hemsley), but their sanctuary is only temporary, as the gang invades the homeless camp and capture Billy and Gramps. Through the course of the film, several flashbacks are shown involving the Skuggs brothers, including (in the beginning of the film) the drug-overdose death of their mother Ella (Khandi Alexander), the non-fatal shooting of their drug-addicted musician father, Arthur Romello "A.R." Skuggs (Clarence Williams III) (ultimately at the hands of the man they would later work for—Gus Molino (Abe Vigoda), and a scene where Roemello is offered a full scholarship to Georgetown. Roemello, as a teenager (Dulé Hill) avenges his father’s shooting by shooting and killing Sal Marconi (Raymond Serra), a business partner of Gus’s. After contemplating for a while, Roemello decides to quit dealing and start a new life with his girlfriend, Melissa (Theresa Randle), to the disdain of Raynathan, who is scared and hesitant to leave the drug game. However, Roemello learns that getting out is nowhere near as easy as getting in.
