Ali Fazal (pronounced [əliː fəˈzaːl]; born 15 October 1986) is an Indian actor. Born in Lucknow, he made his screen debut with a small role in the English language film The Other End of the Line (2008) before appearing in the American television miniseries Bollywood Hero (2009).

Fazal made his Bollywood debut with a special appearance in 3 Idiots (2009) and he next appeared in Always Kabhi Kabhi (2011). His first success came in Fukrey (2013) and was seen in a supporting roles in films; Baat Ban Gayi (2013), Bobby Jasoos (2014) and Sonali Cable (2014). His first film in a lead role was released in 2015—Khamoshiyan—followed by his first American film Furious 7.

Biography

Il est né à Lucknow au sein de la famille Fazal originaire d'Allahabad. Son père travaille dans une entreprise au Moyen-Orient quand ses parents se séparent alors qu'il est encore un enfant. Il grandit auprès de sa mère, dans la maison bourgeoise de ses grands-parents maternels, sise dans un village près du Gange. Ses parents obtiennent le divorce quand il a 18 ans.

Il fait ses études à l'école La Martinière de sa ville natale, puis à la Doon School de Dehradun. Il fait partie de l'équipe de basketball et espère représenter son pays dans des compétitions internationales de cette discipline sportive. En 2004, il subit une fracture de la main qui l'empêche dorénavant de jouer au basketball. Peu après, il est choisi pour le rôle de Trinculo dans une production locale de La Tempête de William Shakespeare, expérience qui développe chez lui une véritable passion pour le théâtre. Son cercle familial le pousse néanmoins à entreprendre des études d'ingénieur. Le jeune homme parvient à convaincre les siens de lui laisser faire des études en économie, à Mumbai, où il obtient son diplôme du St. Xavier's College , avant que le cinéma ne lui ouvre ses portes.

Après l'obtention d'un petit rôle dans The Other End of the Line de James Dodson en 2008, il connaît un gros succès pour son interprétation du rôle de Joy Lobo dans la comédie 3 Idiots (2009) de Rajkumar Hirani. Dès lors, sa carrière prend son envol, d'autant que son physique de sportif et son charme naturel font de lui un sex-symbol : en 2014, le Times of India le considère comme l'homme le plus séduisant de l'année.

Hollywood fait appel à lui en 2015 pour Fast and Furious 7 de James Wan, puis, en 2017, pour Confident royal (Victoria & Abdul) de Stephen Frears, où il partage la vedette avec la star britannique Judi Dench.

Après l'enquête de l'Orient-Express, le célèbre détective privé belge Hercule Poirot doit enquêter sur un meurtre perpétré à bord d'un navire de croisière. En effet, la riche et belle héritière Linnet Ridgeway s'éprend de Simon Doyle, le fiancé de sa meilleure amie, Jacqueline de Bellefort, et l'épouse dans la foulée. Partis en voyage de noces, les jeunes mariés sont poursuivis par la jeune femme délaissée, dans leurs étapes successives, jusqu'en Égypte, où ils séjournent dans un hôtel où se trouve également Poirot, qui pressent une situation dramatique. Ce dernier, les jeunes mariés et leur poursuivante, ainsi que divers clients « aisés » de l'hôtel se retrouvent fortuitement pour faire une croisière à bord du vapeur S. S. Karnak… Jusqu'au jour où Linnet est retrouvée assassinée. La suspecte la plus probable, Jacqueline, qui nourrissait une grande haine envers celle-ci, est pourtant une des seules personnes à avoir un alibi inattaquable. Mais Hercule Poirot n'est pas dupe et ses « cellules grises »vont mettre à mal tous les alibis et révéler une machination diabolique.

À la fin de son règne, lors du Jubilé de 1887, on découvre la reine empêtrée par l'obséquiosité servile de son entourage. Affectivement, elle est seule depuis la mort de son mari trente ans plus tôt, ce que la scène introductive du banquet ne manque pas de souligner : les convives n'y paraissent que comme des pantins sans partager aucun affect ni propos avec la Reine. Lors de ce banquet, un seul invité se distingue : un des deux Indiens dépêchés par les autorités coloniales depuis la cité d'Agra pour présenter une pièce commémorative, et tenus par le protocole de ne jamais dévisager la Reine lorsqu'ils la lui montrent, ainsi que de se retirer le dos courbé à reculons tout le long du hall. Ce dernier ne respecte pas cette règle et tient un regard appuyé vers la Reine, laquelle ne manquera pas de le trouver beau ("handsome") en rapportant ultérieurement ses impressions auprès de son majordome. Elle réclame ensuite à nouveau sa présence, à la stupéfaction des valets.

After defeating Owen Shaw and his crew and securing amnesty for their past crimes, Dominic "Dom" Toretto, Brian O'Conner, and the rest of their team have returned to the United States to live normal lives again. Brian begins to accustom himself to life as a father, while Dom tries to help Letty Ortiz regain her memories. Meanwhile, Owen's older brother, Deckard Shaw, breaks into the secure hospital the comatose Owen is being held in and swears vengeance against Dom, before breaking into Luke Hobbs' DSS office to extract profiles of Dom's crew. After revealing his identity, Shaw engages Hobbs in a fight, and escapes when he detonates a bomb that severely injures Hobbs. Dom later learns from his sister Mia that she is pregnant again and convinces her to tell Brian. However, a bomb, disguised in a package sent from Tokyo, explodes and destroys the Toretto house just seconds after Han, a member of their team, is killed by Shaw in Tokyo. Dom later visits Hobbs in a hospital, where he learns that Shaw is a rogue special forces assassin seeking to avenge his brother. Dom then travels to Tokyo to claim Han's body, where he meets and races Sean Boswell, a friend of Han's, who gives him personal items found at Han's crash site.

Living in a middle class orthodox family of Old Hyderabad, Bilqis Ahmed aka Bobby (Vidya Balan) is a wannabe private detective. To solve the case, Bobby takes up many get-ups such as 'beggar', 'peon', 'hawker', 'nerd student', 'astrologer' and even a fake ' TV producer'.
