Alvin Sanders (born March 16, 1952) is an actor, now residing in Vancouver, BC. He currently sits on the Union of BC Performers' executive board.
En mai 1984, il part jouer une pièce à Barkerville, en Colombie-Britannique au Canada. Il y restera et s'installera à Vancouver après avoir épousé la régisseuse du spectacle au mois de novembre de la même année. Il obtient ainsi la double nationalité canadien-américain.
Sanders devient membre du conseil exécutif de l'Union des artistes interprètes de Colombie-Britannique (UBCP) en 2001 puis son président en 2011. Il a également été le vice-président de l'ACTRA pendant sept ans, entre 2011 et 2018.
En 2018, il passe une audition pour jouer le rôle du Principal Weatherbee dans la série Riverdale. Il sera finalement retenu pour jouer le rôle de Pope Tate.

Biography
Né en 1952 à Oakland en Californie, Alvin Sanders a commencé à jouer au théâtre lors de ses années d'études au lycée entre 1967 et 1970. Il joue ainsi avec la compagnie du Seattle Repertory Theatre qui permet à de jeunes étudiants de jouer sur scène et d'apprendre le métier de comédien. Il y rencontrera des professionnels qui l'encourageront dans cette carrière.En mai 1984, il part jouer une pièce à Barkerville, en Colombie-Britannique au Canada. Three years after her husband died, Emily Spengler (Faith Ford), a 2nd grade teacher in the small Washington town of South Woodbourne is preparing for the arrival of her daughter, Heather (Emma Lahana), who is attending school at Boston College. When she comes to find out that her daughter wishes to do other things for Christmas, she calls her friend, Faith Kerrigan (Gabrielle Miller), for advice. Faith is a divorced event planner based in San Francisco. Meanwhile, in Boston, Charles Johnson (Tom Cavanagh), an English professor and writer is working on the finishing draft for his latest novel. Throughout his entire life, Rod Kimble (Andy Samberg) has believed his father, now deceased, was a successful and respectable stuntman working for Evel Knievel. He aspires to follow in his father's footsteps and become a famous stuntman himself. Meanwhile, his stepfather Frank (Ian McShane) fails to respect Rod as a man, often going out of his way to beat him in sparring sessions and mocking his stuntman dream. Rod makes many attempts at landing jumps with his Tomos moped, most of them ending unsuccessfully. After an ill-fated jump attempt at the public pool, he returns home to find out that Frank is in urgent need of a heart transplant. Angry at the thought of his stepfather dying without getting a chance to "smash his face in" and gain his respect, Rod tells his childhood friends Rico (Danny McBride), Dave (Bill Hader) and his half-brother Kevin (Jorma Taccone) about his plan to do a jump over the length of fifteen school buses, and give the proceeds to his stepfather's surgery. He also adds Denise (Isla Fisher), his college-graduate neighbor on whom he has a crush, to his crew.
