Anthony Hickox (1959) is a film director, film producer and screenwriter.
His works include Waxwork and its sequel, Waxwork II: Lost in Time, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, "Prince Valiant", "Children of the Corn", "Warlock: Armageddon", "Payback", "Carnival of Souls" and "Knife Edge"".
After starting as a club promoter in London he came to LA in 1986 and became a writer/director during the late 80's and 90's. His visual style often uses a dual-focus technique in which one person's face takes up most the screen in profile, with another person shown on the other half of the screen in the background.
He then started directing action movies after creating the television show "Extreme" for ABC/Universal (he is an skier himself). This led to HBO hiring him to make their first action/horror Full Eclipse which spawned their Friday night action slot that lasted over 5 years and to which Hickox made several more contributions. At the same time continuing his deal at Universal where he shot pilots for " Two", "Martian Law", "Shoot Me!" and "New York Undercover".
After working with Natasha McElone and William Hurt (Contaminated Man), he went on to direct Katherine Heigl and Steven Moyer in 'Prince Valiant', then Steven Seagal in Submerged and Eddie Griffin in Blast!, both made over $15 million a piece on DVD. In 2008 he has completed the British horror movie Knife Edge and is hoping to start a remake of Cat People in 2014. He is also working on a video game Invasion Earth! with his writing partner Pete Atkins, is in development on Galahad for Gale Anne Hurd and has written "Rhodesia" about Robert Mugabe's rise to power, which Nick Cassavetes is directing.
He is on the board of directors of the film distribution company 7arts pictures (NASDAQ) run by Peter Hoffman ex chairman of Carolco and the production company Medient run by Indian film producer Manu Kumaran. In 2011 Medient co-financed Nick Cassavetes "Yellow" and Noel Clark's "Storage 24" for Universal. He also just completed a brilliant short film called "Breakdown" with his girlfriend Caitlin Fowler.
In March 2013 he signed on to direct 'Blood Island' in China and is setting up the 'Waxwork' television show at Bold films . He also is developing 'Johnny Mnumonic' as a tv show with Sean Daniels and Peter Hoffman.

Anthony "Tony" Hickox was born in 1959 and comes from a family of filmmakers. He is the eldest son of the director Douglas Hickox and Academy Award-winning editor Anne V. Coates and elder brother of editor Emma E. Hickox and director James D.R. Hickox. He is also the great nephew of Lord J. A terrorist, Michael Kittredge (Vinnie Jones), posing as an environmentalist protester leads a team of highly skilled mercenaries to take control of an oil rig off the coast of California, intending to detonate an electromagnetic bomb over the United States, striking a sort of "new Pearl Harbor" attack on behalf of enemies to the nation. What Kittredge didn't count on is a tugboat captain, Lamont Dixon (Eddie Griffin), who survives an attack on his ship, and is soon recruited by an FBI agent (Vivica A. Fox) to infiltrate the oil rig and procure information about their plans, and if possible, stop them. In the process, Dixon meets an eager computer expert (Breckin Meyer) aboard the oil rig who helps Dixon even as he gets on his nerves and Lamont suspects he can't really trust him.

The story is based on the myth of King Arthur. A young, inexperienced squire Valiant, masquerading as Sir Gawain, is sent to accompany the Welsh princess Lady Ilene, a guest at Camelot, on her way back home. Little he knows that, meanwhile, the evil sorceress Morgan le Fay has convinced the Viking warlord Sligon, ruler of the kingdom of Thule, to steal the magical sword Excalibur during a joust tournament. Valiant and the princess become part of the struggle of "he who holds the sword rules the world" which leads them both to love and Valiant to his princely destiny, as it turns out he is the rightful heir to the throne of Thule. The usurper is eventually killed by his brother Thagnar, who also captures Ilene. In a final confrontation, the villains are killed and Valiant rescues the princess and recovers Excalibur.

Eli and Joshua are being taken into foster care with William and Amanda Porter of Chicago after the death of their father, who was killed by Eli. The two boys do not mix well with a home in modern Chicago; their formal, Amish-like clothes from Gatlin and Eli's fire-and-brimstone prayer at dinner, as well as his bringing a suitcase full of corn to Chicago, strike their new parents and neighbors as unusual. On his first night in Chicago, after everyone else has gone to sleep, Eli quietly leaves the Porter's house for an empty factory on the other side of a nearby cornfield. The family of a wealthy woman named Anastasia "Granny" Gargoli (Stella Stevens) wants her to die so they can inherit her insurance. The film opens with a reenactment of final scenes of Waxwork, with Mark and Sarah leaving the burning waxwork (the part of Sarah having been recast from the first film). The disembodied zombie hand from the first film follows Sarah to her run-down flat and kills her stepfather with a hammer, a murder for which Sarah is blamed. No one believes her story about the evil waxwork.

Young filmmaker Stevie Horowitz (Dean Jacobson) eagerly awaits a meeting with big shot Hollywood film producer J.P. Shelldrake (Tony Curtis). In a small suburban town, a group of university students--Mark Loftmore (Zach Galligan), China Webster (Michelle Johnson), Sarah Brightman (Deborah Foreman), Gemma (Clare Carey), James (Eric Brown) and Tony (Dana Ashbrook)--visit a mysterious wax museum, where they encounter several morbid displays, all of which contain stock characters from the horror genre. Tony and China unintentionally enter two separate pocket worlds, as depicted by the waxwork displays, by crossing the exhibition barrier rope. Tony is at a cabin where a werewolf (John Rhys-Davies) attacks him. A hunter and his son arrive and try to kill the werewolf. The son fails and is torn in two, while the hunter shoots the werewolf, and then shoots Tony as he begins to transform into a werewolf. China is sent to a Gothic castle, where vampires attack her and Count Dracula (Miles O'Keeffe) turns her into a vampire. Two of the other students, Mark and Sarah, leave the waxwork unscathed. Later, Jonathan (Micah Grant), "a college jock", arrives at the wax museum, looking for China, but The Phantom of the Opera display gets his attention as David Lincoln (David Warner) walks him into the display. Mark goes to a pair of investigating police detectives, Inspector Roberts (Charles McCaughan), and meets Lincoln as he lets Roberts investigate the waxworks. As Mark and Roberts leave the Museum, Mark recognizes Lincoln.
