Benoît Debie is a Belgian cinematographer. He is best known for his collaboration with Gaspar Noe on his feature film: Irréversible.

Biography
Après des études de Cinéma à l'école IAD près de Bruxelles, il commence sa carrière dans la télévision sur la chaine RTL et travaille sur des projets extérieurs comme pour la publicité, des clips, de l'assistanat avec les frères Dardenne ( 1999 ). Il apprend son métier, expérimente pendant dix ans.Il fait impression dans le court métrage : "Quand on est amoureux c'est merveilleux." de Fabrice du Welz, ami proche et collègue de télé. The film revolves around the lives of a cinema school student named Murphy, and his former girlfriend Electra, whom he dated for two years, before sleeping with another woman, Omi, who happened to get pregnant as a result of Murphy's infidelity. This unwanted pregnancy ended the relationship between Murphy and Electra on a very sad note. One rainy morning, Electra's mother, Nora, calls Murphy to ask him if he's heard from the young woman, because she hasn't for quite a while now, and given her daughter's suicidal tendencies, she is really worried. For the rest of this day, Murphy recalls his past with Electra, filled with drug abuse, rough sex, and tender moments.

En 1996, à l’appel d’une chorégraphe de renom, un groupe de danseurs urbains se retrouvent dans un local de répétition isolé en bordure d'une forêt, par un temps enneigé. Dans un monde sans téléphone portable ni Internet, ils répètent une dernière fois avant de s'envoler pour les États-Unis. À l'issue de la répétition, les danseurs se lancent dans une fête pour décompresser. Mais très vite, il apparaît que quelqu'un a versé une substance illicite dans la sangria qu'ils buvaient. Quand certains s’entraînent dans une transe dansante sans fin, d'autres plongent dans la démence et l'horreur.

Single mother Billy lives in a rundown Detroit neighborhood with her two sons, Bones and Franky. Billy and Bones both love Franky but are fairly distant from each other. In his spare time, Bones salvages copper piping from abandoned houses in town while trying to avoid a vicious local criminal named Bully, who has claimed the copper piping for himself. One day, Bully catches Bones taking copper piping, which Bones abandons and flees. Later, Bones reclaims the stolen piping from Bully's hiding place and manages to escape from Bully's sidekick, Face. Billy, meanwhile, meets with a banker, Dave, regarding a loan that Carl (the father of her sons) left her so that she could stay in the home, which originally belonged to her grandmother. Since Billy is unemployed, she is unable to repay the bank, and must begin searching for a job in order to pay for the house. The film opens with a getaway driver (Mel Gibson) and a wounded accomplice dressed as clowns fleeing from American police toward the Mexican border. The driver crashes through the border fence, whereupon he is arrested by corrupt Mexican police officers Vasquez (Mario Zaragoza) and Romero (Gerardo Teracena). When they find over $2 million in the car, they incarcerate him in El Pueblito prison under false charges, keep the cash for themselves, and cremate the accomplice, who by then has died. As one of the only Americans incarcerated there, the driver becomes known as "the Gringo". El Pueblito proves surprising, operating more like a small ghetto than a prison. The Gringo quickly manages to work out the prison's criminal hierarchy and engages in petty thefts and robberies from some of the prison's less reputable businesses. One of these thefts is witnessed by an unnamed kid (Kevin Hernandez) who is living with his incarcerated mother (Dolores Heredia) and is protected by the prison's criminals. Curious, the Gringo presses him to explain why the criminals protect him, but the Kid refuses.
