Wilbert "Bill" Cobbs (born June 16, 1934) is an American actor.

Biography

Bill Cobbs est né et a grandi à Cleveland (Ohio). Né dans une famille modeste, son père travaillait dans la construction et sa mère était domestique.
Il commence le théâtre en amateur, notamment dans la pièce Purlie d'Ossie Davis qui prend place au Sud des États-Unis durant la période des Lois Jim Crow. Par la suite, Bill Cobbs enchaîne plusieurs métiers (technicien pour United States Air Force, vendeur de voitures...). Ce n'est qu'en 1970 qu'il quitte l'Ohio pour New York. Pour vivre, il pratique de nouveau différents métiers. Il joue alors dans de petites productions théâtrales, de la scène de rue, théâtre régional. Il apparaît pour la première fois au cinéma dans Les Pirates du métro (1974) dans un petit rôle.

Il est connu pour ses nombreuses apparitions dans des films et séries télévisées populaires (Les Soprano, Six Feet Under, Les Médiums, JAG, Le Drew Carey Show, October Road, American Wives, Les Frères Scott). Au cinéma il incarne Reginald, un ex-gardien du Muséum américain d'histoire naturelle dans La Nuit au musée (2006). De 2012 à 2013 il joue dans la série télévisée Go On.

In order to save Christmas, Eli (Danny Woodburn) and Eddy (Richard Kind) the uncanny elf dog have to go to New York City to save Santa and Paws. But when Santa (Bud) is in the hospital, it takes the help of Quinn and Will to save Santa. When Kate and James take Bud from the hospital, Paws tells Eli to put his crystal next to Santa, but then he wakes up to find that Paws is a stuffed animal. They rush back to the North Pole and Paws turns into a full-grown dog named Santa Paws (Mitchel Musso) and Christmas is back on. Ms. Stout is fired from taking care of the orphan girls at the foster home, much to the excitement of the girls, and Will and Quinn are both adopted by James and Kate Hucklebuckle.
