David William Thomas (born May 20, 1949) is a Canadian comedian, actor and television writer. He is best known for portraying Doug McKenzie on SCTV as well as in the film Strange Brew, which he also directed.
Biography
Dave Thomas is married and has four children. His sons, Johnathan and Harrison Thomas were members of the Los Angeles heavy metal group Tinhorn until 2007. Harrison Thomas is an actor and appeared in a 20th Century Fox Television pilot, Locke and Key, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, and has played major guest starring roles on the television shows as House, Fringe, Criminal Minds, as well as a recurring role on Alan Ball's series Banshee. Johnathan Thomas now works at Blizzard Entertainment as a sound designer and recording mixer. John worked as a field sound effects recordist on Frozen which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Film. Dave Thomas also has two daughters, Emily and Charlie. Emily graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors B.A. in English Literature in 2013 and lives in New York City where she works for Lorne Michael's company Broadway Video. Charlie attends middle school in Los Angeles. Dave holds Canadian, British, and U.S. citizenship (the latter by naturalization).Best films

Picking up several months after the events of the first film, Kenai (voiced by Patrick Dempsey) - now a cave bear - is living happily with his foster brother Koda (voiced by Jeremy Suarez). Having just awoken from hibernation, the bears are off to Crowberry Ridge for the first berries of the season. Unfortunately, Kenai's haunted by memories of his childhood friend Nita (voiced by Mandy Moore), to whom he gave a special amulet many years ago. When he was a human child, he became friends with Nita, the daughter of the elder of a neighboring tribe. The pair's past friendship collides with the present as Kenai and Nita must undertake an excursion as bear and woman, respectively. The bears Kenai and Koda are on their way to Crowberry Ridge when they meet up with Nita, Kenai's childhood friend. Nita wants to burn the amulet Kenai gave her at Hokani Falls so she can marry Atka (voiced by Jeff Bennett). However, she has to do it with Kenai to send the bond back up to the spirits. At first, Kenai refuses, but finally agrees. Nita misses Kenai, but does not tell him. Instead, she asks if he misses being human, and if he ever thought of changing back. He replies that he has thought about it. Koda, who heard it all, races up a mountain and is finally found by Nita. However, the two are then caught in an avalanche. Kenai digs them out and tells Koda he'll never leave him. They make it to Hokani Falls, and burn the amulet. Nita can no longer understand animals, so she says goodbye. Koda asks his mother in the spirit-land to turn Kenai back into a man so he can be happy. Koda goes to the village to retrieve Nita, and Kenai is told by Rutt and Tuke (voiced by Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas). Koda cannot go to the village because they will kill him. Kenai makes it there, and gets into a fight with Atka. He falls off a cliff into shallow water, where the spirits come. Koda tells Kenai that he asked the spirits to change him back into a man. Kenai tells Nita that he cannot change because he cannot leave Koda, but Nita tells him that she can. So, she turns into a bear that has same coloring as Kenai, and they get married. The film ends with Kenai and Nita getting married and Rutt and Tuke finding mates, and the spirits changing the cave painting of young Nita and Kenai into two bear cubs, since neither are human any more.

On Christmas Eve of 2005, the Masons, a wealthy yet dysfunctional family, is enjoying Christmas dinner when Santa Claus (Bill Goldberg) comes down the chimney and kills them all. Some of the deaths include Santa stabbing Mr. Mason's hands to the table with a fork and knife. Out of fright Taylor faints, causing her to falls back into a sharp pole from the dog bed that impales her neck. Virginia's head is set on fire and is then drowned in eggnog. Gwen's husband Jason tries to fight Santa, causing him to get pushed into a glass case and die. Santa then grabs a leg from the table and smashes in Gwen's head as she pleads, "I've been good!". Beth tries to escape, causing her to be throwing a star into her back by Santa from behind. A deathless Mr. Mason, who got stabbed in the hands, gets a turkey leg lodged down his throat. This opening scene includes bit roles from several famous Jewish actors, including James Caan, Fran Drescher, Chris Kattan, and Rebecca Gayheart.

The film is set in a post-ice age North America, where the local tribesmen believe all creatures are created through the Spirits, who are said to appear in the form of an aurora. Three brothers: Kenai (voiced by Joaquin Phoenix)- the youngest brother, Denahi (voiced by Jason Raize)- the middle brother -and Sitka (voiced by D.B. Sweeney)- the eldest brother, return to their tribe in order for Kenai to receive his sacred totem, a necklace in the shape of an animal. The particular animal it represents symbolizes what he must achieve to call himself a man. Unlike Sitka, who gained the eagle of guidance, and Denahi, who gained the wolf of wisdom, Kenai receives the bear of love, to which he objects, stating that bears are thieves. He believes his point is made a fact when a bear takes some salmon. Kenai and his brothers pursue the bear, but a fight follows on a glacier, during which Sitka gives his life to save his brothers, although the bear survives. Vengeful, Kenai heads out to avenge Sitka. He chases the bear up onto a mountain and kills it. The Spirits, represented by Sitka's spirit in the form of a bald eagle, transform Kenai into a bear after the dead bear's body disappears. Denahi arrives, mistaking Kenai as dead, and believing the bear is responsible, vows to avenge Kenai by hunting it down.

Donald Sinclair (John Cleese), the eccentric owner of The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, devises a new game to entertain the high rollers who visit his hotel. The plot revolves around an ape playing sports. Jack is a three-year-old chimpanzee who is the subject of an experiment involving sign language that is performed by Dr. Kendall. However, Dr. Kendall loses funding for his research and Kendall's boss, Mr. Peabody, sells Jack to a medical research lab, much to Dr. Kendall's dismay. Unfortunately, Dr. Kendall dies (off screen) from a heart attack. Kendall had set up Jack to be taken away from the lab, but Jack was sent to Canada by mistake. In Canada, Jack finds shelter in a tree house but a young deaf girl named Tara enters the tree house and Jack surprises her causing her to faint; when Tara wakes up she learns he can use sign language, she attempts to hide Jack from her parents and brother Steven but is unsuccessful . Steven soon discovers that Jack has an uncanny ability to play the sport of ice hockey and Jack joins Steven's junior league hockey team when it is discovered that there is no rule that chimpanzees can't play hockey. However, just before the championship, Dr. Peabody returns to reclaim Jack.

The film begins with Pippi sailing around the world with her father, Captain Efraim Longstocking, her pet horse, Horse, her pet monkey, Mr. Nilsson, and various members of the ship's crew. Alan Walters (Christian Campbell) and his mother, Vicky (Mary Page Keller), live next door to the Thomases, George (Richard Karn), a widower and his daughters, JJ (Lisa Jakub) and Delia (Cecilley Carroll). Alan enters both families in a contest sponsored by Barrett's Natural Soda. Ernie Barrett comes to live with them at the Walters house for a week, to find out if they are the perfect family, and brings Marco (Von Flores), a director and an FBI agent, to record it. To begin with, as all of their kids are close friends, Vicky and George are dysfunctional neighbors towards each other who are constantly at each other's throats over certain issues like a hedge offer that George has committed himself to, which however includes even trimming her hedges. So, with their poor relationship while the opposite between their kids, and due to all the people they have to cover for in numerous ways, problems pile up as the two families pretend to be one, and JJ and Alan try to dump Vicky's boyfriend, Bob Blanford (John Lefebvre). The situation gets even more complicated by the arrival and meddling of fake FBI agents Sloan and Malone (Ric Reid and Peter Keleghan). Add a very nosy neighbor named Eve Scrimmer (Nada Despotovich), who planned to tell Ernie Barrett they aren't really a family at all, but fails, and George's boss, Amanda Holt (Lori Hallier), who when convinced the truth that George is single, and in order to stay in his book business, he has to try to keep the difficult situation covered up from also her. Alan decides to use a dating service to hook up Bob with Eve. During Ernie's stay with the family, they have a fine time at the beach, and that along with barrels of laughs involving the parent's night out at a classy restaurant called Gillian's, and an open mike night at the Beef & Beer. At open mike, George gets stage fright until Alan comes up on stage and grabs an electric guitar. George and Alan sing You Really Got Me. After all is over at the tail end of Ernie's stay, a lot of pressure builds up about how they are going to get through the contest without fail, let alone avoid getting arrested by whom they assumed is the FBI. George's boss, Amanda, just in time catches him with his pants down in the situation, where he has to give her his covered up lie, even because of the situation being in front of Ernie. George has to make a lie about her to Ernie, to avoid the embarrassment. Just in time, also Vicky's boyfriend, Bob, and Eve show up to intensify the situation, ending with them falling for each other. Just as Ernie dubs them the winners of the contest, the whole clan comes clean, blowing the whole cover to Ernie, who gets upset thinking he has to start all over again, because of how he now knows that they are not a real family. But just as he frustrates on that, he sees George and Vicky kissing, which convinces him that they finally have made up and are willing to make it work. That leads to a wedding of George and Vicky truly being married in the next and final shot, with Ernie and Marco there.
