Dieter Laser (born 17 February 1942) is a German actor.

Laser was born in Kiel, Germany. He is known to English speaking audiences for his roles as Mantrid in Lexx, Prof. Otto Blaettchen in The Ogre, Dr. Joseph Heiter in The Human Centipede (First Sequence) and Bill Boss in The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence).

In 1975, he was awarded the German Film Award in Gold in the category of Best Actor for his title role in John Glückstadt.

During the filming of The Human Centipede, many crew members and leading actors described Laser as being a "Method Actor". On the days of filming he did not speak to the cast very often and would stay in character as much as he possibly could. Dieter Laser was among some of director Tom Six's preferences to play Dr Heiter, and Six was impressed with Laser's work after seeing him in some of his earlier films. For his performance, Laser won Best Actor at the Austin Fantastic Fest and was nominated for the LA Scream Awards for Best Villain in 2010. He returned for the final installment of the franchise after refusing to play the part at first.

Laser will star in the Estonian fantasy film Jesus' Blood and Red Currants (shooting November 2015) and in the German Nazisploitation comedy Sky Sharks.

Bill Boss (Dieter Laser), a psychotic prison warden, watches the end of The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) with his accountant Dwight Butler (Laurence R. Harvey). Bill says that he hates the films as his feet are massaged by his assistant, Daisy (Bree Olson), who says she quite enjoyed them. Bill sexually assaults Daisy, by sucking his fingers, and then inserting them into her vagina, and claims that women should not be allowed an opinion, much to the dismay of Dwight, who tries to pitch a 'brilliant idea', but is interrupted by a phone call.

The plot portrays the Swedish government as being responsible for using the ship to covertly transport Russian high-tech components to the United States. The story is uncovered by a young female journalist, not unlike Rabe herself. According to Rabe, divers hired by the Swedish government (signing contracts swearing lifetime secrecy) spent hours breaking into cabins frantically searching for a black attaché case carried by a Russian space technology dealer, Aleksandr Voronin (who died 2002). She highlighted US interest in various Soviet technology, including nuclear-powered satellites. She also suggested that panic about the stability of some form of nuclear device is the most likely reason behind the initial Swedish government suggestion of burying the wreck in concrete, a highly unusual proposal for a wreck, reminiscent of Chernobyl's sarcophagus.

Abel Tiffauges (Malkovich) is a simple Frenchman at the start of World War II, who loves animals and children. The first part of the film recalls his childhood at a Catholic school for boys, in where he wishes to Saint Christopher that the school, which he sees as a prison, is burned down. By irony of fate, while Abel is being disciplined for spilling lamp oil on the chapel floor, his friend Nestor accidentally sets fire to the building, burning it down as he wished. From that day on, Abel is convinced that fate is on his side, and that it will protect him from anything.
