Dorothy Revier (April 18, 1904 – November 19, 1993) was an American actress.
She was educated in the public schools of Oakland before going to New York City to study classical dancing. Later she went to Paris, France, to study and was discovered by a talent agent while working in a cabaret.
She made her film debut in The Broadway Madonna (1922), and was active throughout the 1920s, playing in The Virgin (1924), The Supreme Test (1923), An Enemy of Men (1925), The Far Cry (1926), Cleopatra (1928), Tanned Legs (1929) and The Iron Mask (1929). After recovering from two broken arms suffered in a 1930 car accident, she played roles in low-budget films for Columbia Pictures. Often she appeared as a femme fatale, and she later worked as a free-lance performer in Buck Jones westerns such as Lovable Liar (1933). The Cowboy and the Kid (1936) was her final film.
Dorothy was married three times, to the director, Harry J. Revier, and then to Charles Johnson, and finally to a commercial artist, William Pelayo. All three marriages ended in divorce.
A resident of West Hollywood, Revier died at the age of 89, at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, and was interred at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills Cemetery in Los Angeles area, buried under the simple marker of name and dates, marked with the lone inscription, "Beloved Actress.

Biography
Dorothy Revier was a child of the famous Valerga (her real last name) Family of the Bay Area. Antionette an Opera singer at the Genoa Opera House and her violinist husband Ricardo came to San Francisco in 1849 for the Gold Rush. Their 11 children ended up to be founding performing members of the San Francisco Symphony, Opera and Tivoli Opera. Revier father among the 11 children. Her sister Gladys was a screenwriter for RKO.Dorothy was married three times, to the director, Harry J. Revier, and then to Charles Johnson, and finally to a commercial artist, William Pelayo. All three marriages ended in divorce.

Braggart Buck Crosby rescues movie star Marjorie Lane when her horse bolts during location shooting. She invites him to dinner, where he regales the film crew with tall tales of his exploits. When someone notices his resemblance to a note car racer, he takes credit for that too. After he leaves, he is attracted to a commotion in an isolated cabin. Shots ring out, and he finds two men dead inside. They turn out to be members of the Blake gang, which just pulled off a $100,000 gold robbery. Buck finds a locket and keeps it, then claims the reward for shooting the two men. James Manning sauve Mona Gould du suicide, et lorsqu'il apprend qu'elle est journaliste, il l'engage à "La Tribune", dont il est rédacteur en chef. Il charge le reporter Eddie Morgan d'enquêter sur les entrées illégales d'immigrants chinois à San Francisco. Mona, qui a vécu à Chinatown, suit secrètement Eddie. Elle connaît beaucoup des habitants de ce quartier, parmi lesquels Miao Lin, à qui son tuteur, Wu Sin, ne permet pas d'épouser Charlie San, un jeune employé de banque. Toujours un peu en avance sur Eddie, Mona découvre que les immigrants arrivent sur le navire Hirondella et qu'ils sont ensuite transportés par camion. Elle engage un détective qui découvre que l'Hirondella appartient au millionnaire Roger King, dont la fille Margaret est fiancée à James. Mona prévient Margaret des activités de son père, mais elle refuse de la croire. Margaret en informe son père, qui demande protection à Wu Sin. Ce dernier, à la tête des Tongs, organise en fait les entrées illégales d'immigrants. Il rassemble les Tongs, et lors de cette réunion Charlie San est désigné pour tuer James. Charlie est horrifié, mais il finit par accepter lorsque Wu Sin lui dit que sa récompense sera la main de Miao Lin. Miao Lin confesse à Mona ce qu'on a demandé de faire à Charlie mais, un soir, alors que Mona et James se rendent chez Mona, James est la cible d'un tir de Charlie. Il n'est que blessé et comme Mona connaît son histoire, ils comprennent ses motivations. La police découvre Wu Sin mort chez lui. Roger King et sa fille quittent le pays à bord de l'Hirondella. Charlie San est mis à l'épreuve, et épouse Miao Lin, et James épouse Mona.
