Gabriel Jarret (born Gabriel Kronsberg; January 1,1970) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the young genius Mitch Taylor in the 1985 comedy film Real Genius in which he co-starred with Val Kilmer.

Jarret's first film was Going Ape! in 1981. Other film roles include The Karate Kid, Part III, Apollo 13, and Last Days. Jarret made guest appearances in 21 Jump Street, L.A. Law, Party of Five, and The West Wing.

Jarret appeared as 1st Officer Chapman in the 2006 remake of The Poseidon Adventure. He performed in the Ron Howard film Frost/Nixon as Nixon speechwriter Ken Khachigian.

Jarret is also an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter and shares his passion for the deaf community onstage as well. He is a stage actor who has performed with Terrylene in "Sweet Nothing in My Ear" (Minneapolis, MN) under the Mixed Blood Theatre Company.

Jarret is also a lyricist and vocalist of the rock/alternative rock vein. In the early 1990s, Jarret fronted the Los Angeles based rock band The Unknown. The band had limited success for a short period, once appearing at the House of Blues with soul great Tower of Power. The band attracted some record label interest, but broke up before any deals materialized.

An old gangster, with a hard drive containing records of who he paid off, is targeted by a competition between dirty cops, internal affairs, etc. The dirty cops hire a thug to get into the safe (in the back of a diner) at midnight. But he brings his friends and goes too early for the time-release lock. Another crooked cop shows up (for uncertain reasons). The shooting ensues and during hostage negotiations the thug tries to put the blame onto an ex-con who just got out of jail, so that no one notices the real target is the hard drive.

Set in the fictional town of Irish Channel,Massachusetts the movie follows Karen O'Hara (Courtney Halverson), a young woman that is largely unaware of the town's true bloody past. About sixty-six years ago a horrific massacre devastated the town and since that time, the town decided to forgo any St. Patrick's Day festivities. The town managed to temporarily rid themselves of the killer, a bloodthirsty leprechaun, by sending it to another dimension by way of an old book. However Karen accidentally sets the monster free one day while she is hunting. The leprechaun immediately sets about killing several people, but Karen's father Sheriff Conor O'Hara (Billy Zane) is unwilling to believe Pop O'Hara's (William Devane) claims that the murders are perpetuated by a supposedly mythical being.

In 1997, Sarah Huttinger (Jennifer Aniston), an obituary and wedding announcement writer for The New York Times, travels to Pasadena, California, for her sister Annie's (Mena Suvari) wedding, accompanied by her fiancé Jeff Daly (Mark Ruffalo). A group of CIA officers watch a video presentation of a top-secret project called "Crossbow": a space shuttle mounted with a computer-guided laser weapon incinerates a man on the ground with pinpoint accuracy. Researchers on the project have yet to devise a system to generate enough power to operate it. When it becomes clear that this weapon has no wartime applications and is intended solely for illegal assassinations, one agent decries the project as immoral. He is subsequently eliminated.
