Gary Sandy (born December 25, 1945) is an American actor, who starred as program director Andy Travis on the television sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati. In the 1980s, he starred in a stage production of Arsenic and Old Lace opposite Jean Stapleton and Marion Ross, and in the early 2000s, he starred opposite Ann-Margret in a stage production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Sandy was born in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Dolores and Austin Sandy. He attended Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio and lived in Moraine, Ohio. He later attended Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

In this sequel to 1995's Mommy, Mrs. Sterling (Patty McCormack), who had been convicted of murder and sentenced to death, escapes execution when she is wounded in a prison breakout attempt. While she is recovering, a physician convinces the courts that she would be able to live in a halfway house if she takes a violence-suppressing drug that he designed. The film begins with the Potter family moving into a new apartment complex in San Francisco. While unpacking, their young daughter Wendy is attacked by a grotesque little creature, who had long ago been transformed from a powerful wizard into a troll. Using a magic crystal green ring, it captures Wendy and possesses her form. After meeting the other eccentric tenants, the family notices Wendy's unusual behavior (roaring, biting, tossing people across rooms, punching people in the groin), but they attribute her behavior to the stress of the move. While in the hospital, 60-year-old truck driver Elegant John (Henry Fonda) gets his rig repossessed by the finance company.
