Georgina Haig (born 3 August 1985) is an Australian film and television actress, known for her roles in the Australian children's television series The Elephant Princess, as well as the American television series Fringe and Once Upon a Time.

Biography

Georgina Haig est diplômée de l'Académie australienne des Arts et de la Scène en 2008. Elle est depuis apparue dans de nombreux films australiens et séries télévisées, notamment un des rôles principaux dans Road Train, ou Underbelly, première série américaine à laquelle elle contribuera.

En 2011, elle fut envisagée pour le rôle d'Andromède dans La Colère des Titans aux côtés de plusieurs autres actrices. Le rôle est finalement attribué à Rosamund Pike. Georgina Haig était également pressentie dans le rôle de Gwen Stacy dans la saga The Amazing Spider-Man qui commença en 2012, mais perdit face à Emma Stone.

En 2012, Georgina Haig fit plusieurs apparitions à la télévision américaine avec notamment le rôle d'Henrietta 'Etta' Bishop dans Fringe ou bien de Lee Anne Marcus dans la série estivale Reckless.

In 1983 Australia, television repairman Ray Jenkins (Angus Sampson) and his football team celebrate the end of their season by spending the weekend in Thailand. Ray's best friend Gavin (Leigh Whannell), a small-time criminal working for local property owner/crime lord Pat Shepherd (John Noble), asks Ray to transport heroin on flight back. Ray refuses, but finds out his step-father is deeply in gambling debt, and his mother will be targeted if he does not pay up. He agrees to transport the heroin. In Thailand, while wandering through the markets, Gavin goes to pick up half a kilogram of heroin to bring back to Pat. Before he leaves, he purchases an extra half kilogram to sell on his own. At the hotel, Gavin hides the heroin in condoms, coercing Ray to swallow them. Upon their arrival at Melbourne Airport, Ray begins to panic and is eventually detained by customs officials. Believing that Ray is a drug trafficker, he is arrested by Australian Federal Police agents Croft and Paris (Hugo Weaving and Ewen Leslie). Ray's lawyer Jasmine Griffiths (Georgina Haig) tells Ray that he can only be held in a hotel room for four days.

In 1968 Australia, Gail and Cynthia head into town for a talent contest and their young sister, Julie is forbidden to go because she has a child and is too young, until she bribes a fellow neighbour to take her into town. An alcoholic, Irish talent scout, Dave Lovelace, is scolded by his boss for being late despite him sleeping in his car that is near work. After the girls lose the talent contest, even with Julie coming in, Dave gives Gail her guitar back and as Dave is about to leave, Julie hands him a piece of paper, showing that the troops need singers for Vietnam. Soon, Dave goes to make a call and he says they have been accepted a spot to audition in Melbourne. Back at their place, Gail, Cynthia and Julie's mother tells him he can take them but Julie until Julie's father tells him not to worry about her. Advised by their grandmother, they meet up with their cousin Kay, who had been living in Melbourne for 10 years. She rejects the offer of joining them, but later changes her mind and meets up at their uncle's place. After days of training their moves, they are almost ready until Julie gives Cynthia a letter from her fiance that he is going to call it off. Despite that, they manage to audition very well and Kay comes up with the group's name, The Sapphires, after looking at Cynthia's engagement ring.

Slim Walding (Paul Holmes), a pompous bar owner, hires a laconic, nameless Croatian (George Shevtsov) to kill an acquaintance over an unpaid debt. Driving through the Australian outback, best friends Marcus (Xavier Samuel) and Craig (Bobby Morley) and their friends, Liz (Georgina Haig) and Nina (Sophie Lowe), are confronted by a road train. The monstrous vehicle comes up behind their SUV and pushes them off the road. Craig's arm is broken. The friends decide seek help from the driver of the truck, which has stopped some distance up the road. The driver is nowhere to be found. Distant gunshots are heard, and a distant, crazed figure in the bush screams and runs towards them. Panicked, the friends commandeer the truck. Driving through the outback, the truck's radio comes on by itself and lulls the four to sleep, leaving the truck to drive itself off the road and up a hill. Liz goes off in search of a shack she claims to have seen, while Marcus attempts to turn the truck around. When the truck refuses to start, he accompanies Liz, while Nina looks after Craig.

Darren is a quiet, introverted teenager who attends a prestigious high school along with his popular and wealthy step-brother Zack. At the party, Xandrie meets Zack and he notices her interest in Darren. Xandrie fails to meet up with Darren and is intercepted by Zack's friends Karenn and Simone, who offer her a spiked drink. Xandrie is taken to the basement, where she passes out and is left alone with Zack and his friends, Brook and Jonathan. She wakes up at a beach and goes home after discovering she was raped. The next morning, Darren discovers Xandrie's phone in the basement, and is unable to find her at school. He meets up with Ella, Xandrie's friend who was with her at the party, but got separated from her and doesn't know where she is.
