Glenn Taranto (born January 27, 1959) is an American actor and screenwriter, perhaps best known for his role as Gomez on The New Addams Family.

He is a member of Academy Award Winner Paul Haggis unofficial stock company having appeared in six projects for the highly acclaimed writer, director.

Taranto's first screenplay, Stolen (Originally titled "The Boy In The Box"), starring Josh Lucas and Jon Hamm was produced by A2 Entertainment and Code Entertainment and released to American theatres in 2010.

Mr. Taranto has recently completed his second screenplay "3-Way Split", an action-heist comedy.

Glenn was born and raised in New Jersey. He resided in Brooklyn, NY from July 1981 until September 1992 and has lived in Los Angeles since October 1992.

Lara Brennan (Elizabeth Banks) is convicted of murdering her boss and is sentenced to life in prison. Following the failure of her appeal, Lara's husband John Brennan (Russell Crowe), a professor at a community college, becomes obsessed with the idea of breaking her out of jail, while their son Luke ceases to acknowledge her during their prison visits, saddening Lara. One day, she attempts suicide, and tells John that she cannot survive a life in prison. John promises that this will not be her life.

Ty Hackett (Columbus Short), an armed service veteran, is now an employee of Eagle Shield security, as a member of one of their many armored car transport teams. Now the legal guardian of younger brother Jimmy (Andre Kinney), the Silver Star recipient struggles to make ends meet. In a bar after an armored car prank heist played on Ty, his co-workers recount several historical attacks on armored cars. It is explained that Ashcroft (Fred Ward), their immediate supervisor, was once involved in an ambush, becoming the only survivor as he single-handedly killed five assailants. This story was topped by "a better" one of an armored car jacking in '88, wherein the guards surrendered the funds they were escorting in order to prevent the killing of a fellow guard; it concluded in the safety of all the guards and escape of the hijackers. The thieves were never caught, and the crew speculates that the escort team staged the attack.

Aging small-time gangster Charlie Valentine (Barry) tries to pull one over on his boss Rocco (Russo) for some retirement cash.
