Greggory "Gregg" Berger (born December 10, 1950) is an American voice actor, who is known for his iconic role as Odie from the Garfield franchise. L'an 2563, 300 ans après que la Terre a connu une catastrophe appelée "l'effondrement" consécutive à une guerre contre Mars. Dans la ville d'Iron City infestée par le crime, le Dr Dyson Ido, médecin spécialisé dans les augmentations biomécaniques, cherche des pièces détachées dans une décharge à ciel ouvert venant de Zalem, dernière cité céleste de la planète, surplombant Iron City, et où chacun rêve d'aller. Ido trouve le corps d'une cyborg en piteux état. Il va alors la ramener dans sa clinique pour la réparer. La jeune cyborg se réveille, réparée mais amnésique. Le docteur Ido la rebaptise Alita (du prénom de sa fille décédée) et lui fait découvrir le monde dans lequel ils survivent. Mais Alita se découvre des réflexes combatifs et une force surhumaine, veut toujours en savoir plus et aller plus loin. Elle fait la connaissance d'Hugo, un jeune revendeur de pièces détachées auquel elle se lie rapidement. Alita va tenter de comprendre qui elle est réellement et d'où elle vient. Elle croise la route du terrible Vector, qui contrôle les matches du sport ultra-populaire de la ville, le Motorball.

A girl named Riley is born in Minnesota, and within her mind, five personifications of her core emotions—Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger—come to life. The emotions live in Headquarters, Riley's conscious mind, where they influence Riley's actions and memories via a control console. Her new memories are housed in colored orbs, which are sent into storage at the end of every waking period. The most important or "core" memories are housed in a hub in Headquarters and power five "islands", each of which reflects a different aspect of Riley's personality. Joy acts as the dominant emotion to keep Riley in a happy state, but she and the others do not understand Sadness's purpose, other than making Riley cry.

The film starts with a man named Clutch Powers, with the Thunder Driller, looking for a power crystal. He sees a variety of them, but finally sees a large one. He grabs it and suddenly, the Queen Rock Monster wakes up and chases Clutch to her underground headquarters. Clutch escapes, and returns to Lego City and hands the crystal to his boss Kjeld Playwell (Paul Michael Glaser) who assigns him some new teammates: Brick Masterson (Roger Rose), a firefighter, weapons specialist, and demolition expert; Peg Mooring (Yvonne Strahovski) a biologist, and Bernie von Beam (Jeff Bennett) an engineer. Playwell informs of an incident in the Space Police prison planet when chaos occurs regarding to the imprisonment of the three most wanted criminals in the Lego galaxy. Clutch and his team investigate the situation at once, despite the team's lack of cooperation and Clutch's intent of working alone. They soon arrive at the planet.

Thomas Archer (Ron Eldard), a disconsolate man, is led to an underground room by a distorted male voice on his mobile phone. In flashback it is shown that his wife had been attacked and his son killed for no apparent reason. When he reaches the underground room he finds a man hooded and tied to a chair and told by the distorted voice that this is the man responsible for the attacks. Without any proof he accepts everything he is told and proceeds to torture the man with various implements found in the room. After a while Archer realizes that that this may not be the man responsible for the attacks. Against the orders of the voice he questions the man. They then collaborate in an attempt to escape what they now see as a situation in which the lives of both of them are at risk. It is revealed in flashback that his Doctor (Christopher Plummer) had made Archer an offer to get the revenge he needs. The doctor now reappears and tries to insist that Archer "finish it, and take back your life".
