Hamid Farrokhnezhad (Persian: حمید فرخ‌نژاد‎‎) (born 17 April 1969) is an Iranian actor, writer and director. He graduated from the Theatre Director program in Tehran University's Fine Arts Department. His practical thesis was based on the play "He Said Yes / He Said No" (Bertolt Brecht) and his theoretical thesis was titled, "Theater in the East"

He won his first two Crystal Simorgh, a notable award in Iranian cinema given annually at the Fajr Film Festival, for Aroos-e Atash (The Bride of the Fire), in the acting in a supporting role and screenwriting categories. His second was in 2013 for acting in Esterdad.

A group of Iranian troops are trapped in a trench on the front-lines. They are suffering from lack of water. Raising a white flag, one of the Iranian soldiers goes to the only spring in the region which is located between the two front lines. At that moment it is revealed that the Iraqi side has the same problem, and has also sent a man to fetch water from the spring. The Iranian group's commander is considering the situation when suddenly a mortar bomb hits just behind the Iranian front line. The commander, fearing an ambush, shoots and kills the Iraqi soldier. Subsequently, it is revealed that the Iraqi soldier was alone and that no ambush was intended. Ashamed of his actions in the light of this new information, the Iranian commander commits suicide.

Ghasem (Hamid Farokhnezhad) with his wife, Narges (Leila Hatami), his mother and other relatives and parents take a flight to Bandar Abbas, Iran, to get hired in an industrial company. Since the conditions of work and life are hardly satisfactory, everyone accepts the invitation with pleasure. Narges (Leila Hatami) is the only one who knows the true intention of her husband. Once the plane takes off and flies in the sky, Ghasem (Hamid Farokhnezhad) out a gun, disarms sole custody in the plane, the pilot goal threat of hacking and requires a change of destination to Dubai. At a time when the attacker and his accomplices are concerned about a conflict between them, the second security guard, loop the pirate by surprise maneuver him out of the gun. As the plane takes its way to the destination country, new pirates succeed, a maneuver conducted by Narges (Leila Hatami) to grab the gun and redirect the plane to Dubai. Shortage of fuel, the plane ends up crashing into the water in the middle of nowhere.
