Holbrook Blinn (January 23, 1872 – June 24, 1928) was an American stage and film actor.
In 1900, he appeared in London in Ib and Little Christina. His Broadway stage successes include The Duchess of Dantzic (1903, as Napoleon), Salvation Nell (1908) in a breakout performance as the brutish husband of Mrs. Fiske, Within the Law (1912), Molière (1919), A Woman of No Importance (1916), The Lady of the Camellias (1917), and Getting Together (1918).
Some of his finest silent screen accomplishments are in McTeague (1916), The Bad Man (1923), Rosita (1923), Yolanda (1924), and Janice Meredith (1924), the latter two films both starring Marion Davies.

Biography
Blinn was born in San Francisco. His father was Charles H. Blinn, a Civil War veteran and his mother Nellie Hollbrook was an actress. He appeared on the legitimate stage as a child, and played throughout the United States and in London. He appeared in silent films, and was the director of popular one-act plays at New York's Princess Theatre.In 1900, he appeared in London in Ib and Little Christina. His Broadway stage successes include The Duchess of Dantzic (1903, as Napoleon), Salvation Nell (1908) in a breakout performance as the brutish husband of Mrs. Fiske, Within the Law (1912), Molière (1919), A Woman of No Importance (1916), The Lady of the Camellias (1917), and Getting Together (1918).

Giles est considéré comme un bon à rien par son père, le comte de Bateson, et il est d'ailleurs exclus de l'université pour avoir trop fait la fête. Là-bas, il rencontre Sally, la fille d'un pauvre pasteur, alors qu'elle était en train de voler des roses pour la paroisse de son père, et il tombe amoureux d'elle. Quand Sally apprend que Giles et son père sont fâchés, elle fait le vœu de les réconcilier. Elle se rend chez le comte, le charme et devient pour lui une personne de confiance. Lorsqu'elle se blesse en essayant de cueillir des herbes pour soigner sa goutte, le comte lui rend visite. En route, il s'arrête à une auberge et donne une demi-couronne pour qu'on soigne son cheval. En fait c'est Giles qui reçoit cet argent, et l'ayant gagné honnêtement il est pardonné par son père et il se marie avec Sally en ayant la bénédiction du comte.
