Igor Petrovich Petrenko (И́горь Петро́вич Петре́нко; born on August 23, 1977 in Potsdam, East Germany) is a Russian actor of cinema and theater. In 2002 President of Russia, Vladimir Putin gave him The State prize of Russia.
As a child, the main hobbies were gymnastics, judo and sambo, when among the favorite school subjects was English language.
In 2000 he was graduated from The Shchepkin Higher Theatre School in Moscow. Igor become famous actor after he was appearing in the "Zvezda" TV Series. Thanks to his role in the Series he won the "Nika" award in the nomination as the "Discovery of the year" in 2003.
For his acting skills, the actor was awarded the Presidential Award (Officially, the State Prize of the Russian Federation), and in 2004 he was awarded the "Triumph" Award as the best young actor.
In 2012, he performed the role of Sherlock Holmes in new series based on the works of Arthur Conan Doyle.

Since 2004, he is married to actress Ekaterina Klimova, and they have three children: daughter Liza Khoroshilova (from the first marriage of Klimova) and sons Matvey Petrenko and Korney Petrenko. With the second wife Igor met on the set of the series The Moscow Windows when he was still married to Irina Leonova. Right after he broke up from Irina, Igor made a proposal to Ekaterina Klimova.

Igor Petrenko was born on August 23, 1977 in Potsdam (GDR) in the family of the Soviet soldiers. His father Pyotr Vladimirovich Petrenko was a lieutenant colonel, and in addition to military service, he was a candidate of chemical sciences. Igor's mother, Tatyana Anatolievna Petrenko, was a professional translator from English. When Igor was three years old, the family moved to Moscow.As a child, the main hobbies were gymnastics, judo and sambo, when among the favorite school subjects was English language.

L'histoire se déroule dans l'Ukraine du XVII siècle. Le vieux colonel ouman Taras Boulba accueille ses deux fils, Ostap et Andreï, rentrés après deux ans d'études au séminaire de Kiev. Il les accompagne vers la Sitch Zaporogue afin de les initier à l'art militaire. Alors qu'ils se trouvent dans le camp, une mauvaise nouvelle leur parvient. Il s'avère que les Polonais ont attaqué le khoutor de Boulba et que sa femme a été tuée. Tarass se joint alors aux cosaques qui affrontent les troupes polonaises. Ils assiègent la ville de Doubno jusqu'à ce que ses habitants commencent à manquer de vivres. Mais le vieux colonel ignore que son cadet, Andreï, est amoureux de la jeune fille du voïvode Mazowiecki, Elżbieta, rencontrée à Kiev, qui se meurt de faim de l'autre côté de la muraille. Une nuit, la servante de Elżbieta amène le jeune homme par le passage souterrain jusqu'à sa maitresse qu'il décide ne plus jamais quitter. Le lendemain, Tarass voit apparaître son fils à la tête de la cavalerie de contre-offensive. Il ordonne alors à ses hommes d'attirer Andreï dans les bois où il le tue après l'avoir renié. Pendant ce temps, son ainé, Ostap, est capturé par l'ennemi et transporté à Varsovie. Aidé de Yankel, le marchand juif jadis sauvé lors d'un pogrome, Tarass vole au secours de son fils, mais arrive juste au moment quand ce dernier se fait exécuter après une séance de torture sur la place publique. Taras fait payer cher la mort d'Ostap, bravant la mort, mais au bout d'un moment son unité est repérée et encerclée. Comprenant que l'ennemi est surtout après lui, il permet à ses compagnons de s'échapper, se laisse faire prisonnier et sera brûlé vif sur le bûcher. Elżbieta donne naissance à un garçon. Elle meurt en couches. Son père, le voïvode Mazowiecki, fou de douleur, prend un sabre et le brandit au-dessus de l'enfant, mais ne parvient pas à tuer un être sans défense qui est en plus son petit-fils.

The setting of the film is a high fantasy Dark Ages Europe, in which desperate and bloodthirsty warlords fight brutal battles in their eternal quest for overlordship. The film is set during the Khrushchev Thaw in Soviet Crimea, Ukraine, and concentrates on a young cadet in the Red Army named Viktor (Igor Petrenko), who becomes a chauffeur for a general (Bohdan Stupka) and begins a relationship with the general's disabled and volatile daughter, Vera (Alena Babenko). Viktor becomes involuntarily involved in a plot by the KGB whereby KGB agent Saveliev (Andrei Panin) pushes Viktor to spy on the general for KGB purposes. As the action develops around Viktor's relationship with Vera and his conflicted reasons for pursuing it, contrasted with the raw sexual tension between Viktor and the maid, Lida (Yekaterina Yudina) and her scathing attack on his motives rel Vera, the KGB, using Agent Saveliev, plots to take down and ultimately kill the general. Nobody is safe.

A team of Soviet scouts is sent behind enemy lines to find the location of the German armor forces. The Soviets wait until night, and open up with an artillery barrage. As the guns fire, the team advances. The team successfully slips behind enemy lines. Many dramatic scenes follow. In one, a German soldier is captured and interrogated. In another, the team calls an airstrike on German positions, causing great damage and casualties. One man even kills a German soldier with his pistol during the air attack. This tract of scenes finds the main characters successfully finding the location of the German armor. They are eventually cornered in a barn, with Germans attacking on all sides. During the battle, the team leader sends a radio message, telling the location of enemy armor. The team is eventually overrun and wiped out.
