Ing-Marie Gunilla Jessica Carlsson (born 25 February 1957 in Jönköping, Sweden) is a Swedish actress. Carlsson lives in Södermalm, Stockholm.

Carlsson was educated at NAMA in Gothenburg and graduated in 1982. After that she worked at Götateatern and the Borås City Theatre. In 1997, she participated in Alla var där at Folkan, including roles as Kjell Bergqvist and Carina Lidbom. In 2001, she was nominated for a Golden Mask for her role in Dagens dubbel at the Halmstad Theater with Tomas Pettersson. She also appeared in Göran Stangertz's production of Death of a Salesman at the Helsingborg City Theatre, which also starred Lars-Erik Berenett. In the summer 2007 Carlsson participated in Den stora premiären at Frediksdalsteatern in Helsingborg.

The known lawyer Patrik Hansson is found brutally murdered in his home. The film is based around the life of Mona Berglund, a mother-of-four obsessed with the Eurovision Song Contest - so much so, that her house is decorated with posters of her idols, and she has named her children after Swedish Eurovision performers: Kikki, Anna Book, Lena PH and Carola. Her partner Bosse is unemployed, and she is left to feed the family. Her brother, Candy, is a transvestite and an AIDS-sufferer who designs clothes. David, Mona's employer, a cerebral palsy-sufferer, is a proficient songwriter however, and composes a song which Mona steals and sends a demo of (with her own lyrics) into Melodifestivalen, the Swedish heats for the Eurovision contest. Much to Mona's delight, the song qualifies for the finals. Mona's new-found fame takes her to unexpected places, including a TV interview, and an invitation to lunch at Berns. Throughout, the film, though, Mona is torn as to whether she should reveal that she was not in fact the only writer of her song, and thus risk losing the public's support.

Roland (Salén) is the 12-year-old son of a Russian Jewish mother (Frydman) and a socialist father (Skarsgård), coming of age in 1920s Stockholm. Due to his family's background, he has become an outcast to those around him, a constant target of bullying by his peers, and often humiliated and physically punished by a sadistic schoolteacher (Ernst-Hugo Järegård) in front of classmates. In retaliation against his tormentors, Roland steals condoms from his mother's tobacco shop inventory and turns them into crude slingshot weapons. He also falls in love with a neighborhood girl (Frida Hallgren), but as Roland attempts to toughen up and improve his troubled life, he also allies with the wrong group of friends and inadvertently makes himself a juvenile offender.
