Jaason Simmons (born 12 July 1970) is an Australian actor best known for the role of Logan Fowler on the TV series Baywatch.

Biography

Early life and career
Born as Jason Matthew Simmons in Hobart, Tasmania, he first began acting in 1993 with a role on the short-lived Australian series Paradise Beach. The following year, he won the role of Logan Fowler on Baywatch. After leaving the series in 1997, Simmons appeared in several theater productions in London and had roles in several independent films including the 1997 film Nowhere. Some of his most recent onscreen appearances have been in the 2006 cult film Mad Cowgirl and in the 2013 SyFy movie Sharknado.


Personal life
Simmons came out as gay in the March 2008 issue of Australian New Idea magazine with his fiancé Irish actor John O'Callaghan.

The greatest killing machine is three times as deadly when a mutated shark originating from the Great Pacific garbage patch eats its way through an island research facility. A freak cyclone hits Los Angeles causing man-eating sharks to be scooped up in water spouts and flood the city with shark-infested seawater. Bar-owner and surfer Fin sets out with his friends, Baz, Nova, and George, to rescue his estranged wife, April, and their teenage daughter, Claudia, after the bar and boardwalk is destroyed in flooding. While heading to April's home, the group stops in a freeway to save people as flooding causes sharks to attack. George is killed and the group learns of a tornado warning. They arrive at April's house just before the first floor is flooded and shark-infested. Collin, April's boyfriend, is eaten by sharks, but the rest of the group escape unharmed.
