Ravi Mohan (born 10 September 1980), better known by his stage name Jayam Ravi, is an Indian film actor of the Tamil film industry. Ravi has appeared in films including
Jayam, which since then became part of Ravi's stage name, M. Kumaran Son Of Mahalakshmi, Unakkum Enakkum, Santhosh Subramaniam, Thillalangadi, and Thani Oruvan all of which have been directed by his brother, M. Raja.

Arvind who came to the city from a rural area, is a naive employee in a company. He cannot tolerate corruption, bribert, breaking rules, lavishness and the urban culture of youth in cities. Aishwarya (Hansika Motwani) falls in love with Karthik (Jayam Ravi) assuming that he is a rich. But, once she realizes that he is just an ordinary gym instructor, she leaves him and wants to get together with a rich man Arjun (Vamsi Krishna). With Karthik standing in her way and threatening to break her relationship with the millionaire, Aishwarya, is now forced to find a suitable girl for Karthik. Aishu finds hot Nisha (Poonam Bajwa) for Karthik. Aishu soon gets disturbed with the rich lifestyle given by Arjun. Aishwarya is now forced by Arjun to workout, make her handwriting very nice, making her hair style look so different in a song of Idharkuthane Aasapadhai Balakumari.In a temple, Karthik tells her that his engagement with Nisha is going to happen on the night before Valentines Day. At the same time Arjun along with Aishwarya plan to go to London. On the night she is supposed to leave, she realizes that she doesn't wanna live this kind of robotic life with Arjun and tells him that she loves Karthik. She goes to the place where Karthik and Nisha's are going to get engaged. She professes her love but Karthik refuses her as she had done to him and leaves the place with Nisha. But then a song plays and Karthik reveals all of this is a play orchestrated by Nisha and him, make Aishwarya realize her mistake and to make her realize her love for him. The story ends with Karthik and Aishwarya reunited.

Shakthi(Jayam Ravi) and Chinnasamy(Soori) are family enemies who fight over an election. During that time, Shakthi falls in love with Anjali, whom he later discovers is his enemies cousin. When their love rapidly heats up, Shakthi is forced to marry Divya(Trisha), a city girl. Before starting a life together, Divya tells Shakthi, they must get to know each other, but every time Shakthi tries to do something good, it ends bad. This leads them on a plan for divorce. Seeing how much he loves and respects his family and how his life has been, Divya slowly starts to like her husband. At the end Divya and Shakthi happily live together while they argue over little things; making their life filled with love.

The film opens with a scene of a low-level party cadre Senkalvarayan (Thambi Ramaiah) tying a flag to a street-lamp post. Suddenly his pregnant wife gets labor pain but he completely ignores it as he is more dedicated to his leader and party than family. At the same time, the party's deputy leader (Nassar) happens to visit the locality; upon hearing his party cadre's ignorance to pregnant wife, the party leader lends his car and orders his driver to immediately take the pregnant lady to the hospital and she delivers a baby boy Pazhani /Siddharth Abhimanyu(Arvind Swamy) before they get to the hospital. When Pazhani is fifteen years old, he secures first rank in his 10th standard state exam and visits the party deputy-leader, now the chairman of the party and a member in ruling coalition for his blessings with his father. While they are waiting in the party office for the leader to come in, they witness a murder of a rebel party candidate by their own revered leader due to caste related comments by the rebel on him. When the leader asks Senkalvarayan to take the blame by saying that he killed the man due to rage on the rebel's comments, Pazhani volunteers to take the blame and willing to go to jail citing leniency of juvenile laws in exchange for an MLA seat for his father, in the upcoming by election. The deal is agreed and carried out.

The film begins in a city in Andhra, where the CBI raid a rich local politician's house. The Chief Officer is shown to be Jayam Ravi, who orders to seize all illegal items found. The politician is arrested, but he requests to come to the CBI office in his own car. It is later revealed that, no CBI raid was planned on his house and all that happened was a hoax. The politician gets angry and orders to hunt down the men who cheated him in the name of CBI. Aadhi (Jayam Ravi) is a gangster, specialised in drug and arms dealing. The hoax CBI raid was one of his mission to loot the politicians. Aadhi is living alone, as his mom and sister are angry with him for being a gangster. As it goes, Aadhi meets Karishma, (Neetu Chandra), a beautiful hotel waitress, who often gets humiliated by her boss. Aadhi falls for her, and saves her and takes her home to be with him. During a drug deal, Aadhi is being attacked and he is shot. Karishma saves him, treats his wounds and saves his life. Aadhi plans to leave to Mumbai, where he gets attacked in the airport, and it is revealed that Karishma is a part of the criminal gang that was trying to kill Aadhi. Then Aadhi is taken Hostage, where another victim reveals the true story about Karishma. Her name is not Karishma at all, but she is Rani, the right hand and partner in crime of a very powerful, cruel, ruthless criminal named Bhagavan Alias Mumbai Bhagavan (Jayam Ravi) who looks exactly like Aadhi. Bhagavan is a very feminine charactered guy, who loves to wear make up and walk, talk and do everything like a girl. But he still has a weakness for good looking girls. Bhagavan does so many jobs for his customers, such as include murder, robbery, and kidnap . At one such instance, Bhagavan gets angry by the behavior of a politician's cousin and murders him. The politician gets angry and promises to get Bhagavan murdered. As the politician is much more powerful than Bhagavan, he goes into hiding. But the Politician makes the search very intense and is very keen to find Bhagavan. So Arumugam comes to know about Aadhi, who resembles Bhagavan. So she traps him and makes him fall into her plan, so that he can be substituted as Bhagavan, on whom the politician wants to take revenge. In the climax, Aadhi kills Karishma and Bhagavan brutally. The film ends with Aadhi leaving the place while Bhagavan also moves away from the place which indicates that Bhagavan is alive and film also hints for sequel.

The film is set in France and Italy. Kamal (Jayam Ravi), a young billionaire, doesn't believe in love. He works hard for 11 months and takes a month's break from all the work related commitments. Celloist Kayalvizhi (Kayal for short or Lolita for Kamal) (Hansika Motwani) believes in true love and is highly fascinated with Indian culture. Then she sees Kamal one day and it is love at first sight for her, but before she can follow him he gets into his car and goes away. Her father Rajasekhar (Suman) runs a small detective agency in France and Kayal often reads her father's case files for interesting stories. One day, Rajasekhar gets a new client (Sonu Gates) who wants to know about his girlfriend's mystery man. After a brief investigation, Rajasekhar finds that his client's girl friend is dating Kamal. Sonu gets angry and decides to kill Kamal. Kayal overhears the conversation and deciding to save them, rushes to their hotel. Sonu has sent some men to kill Kamal and he is on his way there. When Kayal reaches Kamal's room she finds the door locked from inside. Without knowing what to do Kayal tries to get inside through the balcony. When she was about to enter she hears a gunshot and faints in the balcony. By this time sonu's girlfriend has escaped from there. Just when Kamal is about to win the fight Sonu enters the room and threatens Kamal with a gun. Then he searches for his girlfriend he can't find her, instead he find Kayal in the balcony. Then he thinks that Rajasekar has made a mistake and apologizes to Kamal. Understanding that Kayal has saved him, he tries to get to know her better during their incidental meetings and even though Kayal tries to resist she cannot. Kamal leaves Paris for some board meetings and Kayal is heart broken. When he returns he doesn't remember her immediately even though she has been waiting for him. Kayal tries to make Kamal love her by pretending to have many boyfriends. Kamal does get a bit jealous and he decides to get a detective to know everything about her and her possible boyfriends. Initially the detective he chooses is Rajasekar Kayal's dad. Kamal doesn't know Kayal's name, but he says about all her fake boyfriends. Rajasekar realizes that the girl's boyfriends' names are same as the names of the people in his case files realizes that Kamal is actually inquiring about his daughter, Kayal as only she has seen them. He tells Kamal about it and asks him to leave his daughter as he always does when someone falls in love with him. Kamal agrees and tells Kayal that he will be leaving for Germany and that he doesn't know when he will return. Kayal is heartbroken. Kamal tries to forget her but find that he cannot as he realizes that he too loves her. So he returns to Paris and finds her. But Kayal is angry with him and walks away. Kamal runs after her saying that he is in love with her and will never leave her and they will be together thereafter.

Ashwin Kumar (Jiiva) is a photojournalist working for the private newspaper Dina Anjal. He witnesses Naxalites robbing a local bank. He chases them and manages to click photos of the robbers. When he tries to escape, he is stopped by a young woman Renuka 'renu' (Karthika Nair) who assumes he is the culprit and helps the robbers to take his camera. However, he is able to secure the memory card of the camera. The police catch him, and to prove that he is a press photographer, he shows the photos to the them, who identify everyone except the gang leader (whose face is covered by a mask). At his office, he again meets Renuka, who has newly joined as Article Editor. Saraswathi 'saro' (Piaa Bajpai) also works in his office and has feelings for Ashwin, who does not reciprocate.

Krishna (Jayam Ravi) is a happy-go-lucky youth who excels in every field, but always does strange and dangerous things to obtain a certain "kick"- a thrill or excitement that he craves. One such activity is secretly double-crossing his childhood friend Dass (Sathyan) while helping him elope. At this point, he meets Nisha (Tamannaah) who is shocked at his recklessness and writes him off as crazy. Krishna, however, sets his sights on Nisha and woos her in a very unorthodox way; he begs her not to fall in love with him. After a host of comical situations involving Krishna's caring but easy-going parents (Prabhu and Suhasini), local thugs (John Vijay and Mayilsamy), and an ever-present comic relief named Jackson (Vadivelu), Nisha accepts Krishna's love. However she sets a condition; Krishna must stay in a well-paying job- he had resigned from other jobs due to lack of "kick"- and only then will she agree to marry him. Krishna accepts, but soon resigns again for the same reason and tries to hide it from Nisha. When she finds out, Nisha breaks up with him and leaves him for good.

Dhuruvan selects the five most insolent and disobedient girls in the troop for the expedition intending to provide them better training. As an attempt at a practical joke, the haughty girls post a complaint to Ganapathiram claiming that they didn't feel safe with Dhuruvan and that he was responsible for whatever that was to happen to them. Meanwhile, the expedition begins and while Dhuruvan is caught up in some procedures at the forest check post, the girls non-chanlantly try to drive the jeep and run it down the slope of a hill. After losing their vehicle, the troop decides to stay in the forest for the night and go by an alternate route the next morning. But the plot thickens, when Kalpana (Vasundhara) describes two white men with advanced armaments in the Indian forest heading towards the direction of the Indian satellite research station in the forest.
