Jayshree Talpade (born c. 1953) is a Marathi actress and dancer, who works in Bollywood movies and some Marathi movies.

Biography

Jayshree got married in 1989 to film director Jayprakash Karnataki (brother of film actress Nanda) and she gave birth to a son, Swastik J Karnatki in 1991. Her sister Meena T. is also an actress and dancer . Her nephew is the famous Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade

The film begins in a bowling alley, where a group of friends are awaiting the arrival of Salim. Meanwhile, Deepak arrives with his fiancée Sheetal. Movie starts with 25th anniversary of Mamta (Reema Lagoo) and Ramkishan's (Alok Nath) . They have 3 sons Vivek (Mohnish Behl) who is Mamta's stepson and disabled in one hand, because of a childhood accident, in which he had saved his brothers Prem (Salman Khan) and Vinod (Saif Ali Khan). Dacait Jagira (Amrish Puri) has terrorized the entire country-side with his raids and cruelty. On one such encounter he kills Gopal's mother, leaving him an orphan. Durga (Rohini Hattangadi) takes care of Gopal and raises him as her own son, Birju. Years pass by, Gopal (Raj Babbar) and Birju (Vinod Khanna) have grown up. While another band of dacaits is raiding their village, the leader Sohn Kanwar (Sahila Chaddha) is about to kill Birju, when she is told that his mother is Durga, and she spares him, due to Durga being the wife of Dara (Dara Singh), another dacait. This revelation unleases a tide of hate against Birju and Durga, and they are forced to leave the village. To make matters worse, Gopal disowns any relationship he has had with both of them, and wants to marry Madhu (Amrita Singh), who loves Birju. Gopal becomes a police inspector, and Birju is forced to bear arms and become a dacait. Birju also brings Madhu with him, and this does not fit in with Sohn Kanwar's plans that she has for Birju. To make matters worse, the Police Commissioner (Vikram Gokhale) issues a substantial reward to bring in Birju dead or alive.

Mala is the daughter of Kishanlal who works as a servant with a wealthy family. One day Mala meets with the owner of this family, who is so impressed with Mala that he asks for her hand in marriage for his fourth son, Gopal, which Kishanlal humbly accepts. As a result Mala gets married to Gopal, and moves in to their palatial home. While Mala is extremely helpful and sweet-natured, the rest of the daughter-in-laws, three of them, are quite the opposite. When bad times befall this family, the owner passes away; Gopal and Mala move out, leaving Gopal's mother at the mercy of her indifferent sons, Girdhar, Murli, Manohar, and their abusive wives who refuse to assist in any household work, virtually forcing their aged mother-in-law to all menial work, not looking after her needs, even when she becomes ill, and ultimately throwing her out of the house. Gopal gains popularity as a musician, while his brothers mortgage their family home with a moneylender. They decide to live off Gopal, and tell him that their mother has gone for a tirath-yatra (holy journey). With that out of the way, the brothers go back to their lifestyle, not really caring that their mother may be destitute, ill, and on the verge of dying.

Abdul is a truck driver with alcohol and depression problems so much so that he would like to end his life.
