Johnny Tri Nguyen (Vietnamese: Nguyễn Chánh Minh Trí, born February 16, 1974 in Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam) is a Vietnamese American film and television actor, stunt double, and martial artist. He left Vietnam at the age of 8 with his mother, father, elder brother, and elder sister and moved to Los Angeles, California
Johnny Nguyen comes from a family involved in the Vietnamese entertainment industry. His uncle is Nguyen Chanh Tin, a Vietnamese actor, and his older brother is Charlie Nguyen, who directed The Rebel.
His acting roles include the martial arts films Tom-Yum-Goong and Cradle 2 the Grave. His work as a stunt double includes the role of Spider-Man in Spider-Man 2 and as the Green Goblin in the first feature film. He practices lien feng kwon (which was founded by his grandfather), wushu, tae kwon do, t'ai chi, aikido, and vovinam.
Johnny has been working in the Vietnamese film industry to produce The Rebel, a period action drama set in 1920s French-colonial Vietnam, which he also co-directed, co-wrote and stars in. His first Tamil film was 7aum Arivu (2011).

Michael Prithviraj Narayanan (Atharvaa) is a Pizza Delivery Boy, his mother is Mary (Devadarshini) and his bestfriends are Jagan (Jagan) and Christina (Raai Laxmi). Prithviraj receives complaints from his boss (Manobala) for slow pizza delivery, he follows every rule on riding the bike after a bike accident where he witnessed his father's death. Prithviraj falls in love with Samyuktha aka Sam (Priya Anand), they become friends and she asks him to buy a bike. Samyuktha suggested him to get a Ducati Diavel known as Raven. But that very bike brings danger to Prithvi due to a shocking past. One day Prithviraj and Sam get into an argument when he attempts to kiss her and she tells him that she only likes him as a friend. On the way home, Samyuktha is kidnapped by mysterious bikers. Prithviraj, Jagan and Christina look for clues to find the kidnappers. The kidnapper is revealed to be Don Stoney (Johnny Tri Nguyen) who was the first owner of Prithviraj's bike. Don Stoney named his bike as the Raven for its extreme speed. Stoney fired after he beats a guy who scratches his Raven. Stoney is obsessed with his Raven, Stoney's brother rides the Raven competing Michael. At the race, Stoney's brother loses the Raven to Michael and Stoney's brother commit's suicide. After that Michael and his father met an accident which kills his father. Michael received a call from Stoney who asked Michael to come to his hideout at Mahé. Michael enters a race against Stoney and wagers pink slips for the Raven. During the race, Stoney gains an advantage, but loses it when Michael uses his extreme skill to catch up to Stoney, handing the victory to Michael. Afterwards, Stoney release Samyuktha and says that he does not need Raven without winning it. Michael and Samyuktha flees with Raven after the win.

The film depicts the life of Bodhidharma (Suriya), a master of martial arts and medical remedies, who is depicted in the film as the son of a great Tamil king of the Pallava Dynasty. He is sent to China by his guru, who requests him to stop the spread of a pandemic disease existing there from spreading to India. Initially the people in China treated him as an inferior but later when he cures a little girl from the deadly disease and fights against some people who ill treated villagers there, the people of China began to respect and worship him. He begins to teach them how to cure many diseases, the skills of hypnotism and the physical training of the Shaolin monks that led to the creation of Shaolinquan. However, after several years, when he expresses his desire to return to India, the villagers plot to poison him and bury him near the temple, believing that their place would be disease free if he is buried there. Bodhidharma agrees to die and subsequently becomes a fundamental figure in Chinese history, affectionately being dubbed as "Damo".

Adrift begins with the wedding of Duyen and Hai. Duyen is a beautiful tourist guide and translator who marries Hai, a taxi driver who is two years her junior. Duyen thinks the marriage will make her happy but it turns out more difficult, especially since her childlike husband is uninterested in her efforts of intimacy and the marriage remains unconsummated. Cam, secretly in love with Duyen, is bitter about the marriage. Cam has Duyen deliver a letter to Tho, a handsome lothario and tourist guide who physically hurls himself on Duyen when she visits his home to deliver the letter. After Tho reports back to Cam that Duyen is sexually inexperienced, Cam diabolically persuades Duyen to take a temporary job as a translator on one of Tho’s beach tours, knowing what will happen. Duyen's time at the beach with Tho results in an affair leading to Duyen's sexual awakening but continued uncertainty about herself, marriage, and life.

The setting is 1922, in French-occupied Vietnam, and anti-French rebellions by peasants have emerged all over the country. Taking place shortly after the original, a professor at the fictional Cuesta Verde University has managed to subdue and contain a "Hyper sapiens" specimen, who is revealed to be an infected survivor from the first film.
