Jonathan Lippert Keltz (born January 17, 1988) is an American actor known for his role as Jake Steinberg in the HBO series Entourage, and his work in the films Prom (2011) and 21 & Over (2013). He stars as Leith Bayard in The CW's series Reign. In May 2014, Keltz was promoted to series regular for the show's second season, premiering in October 2014.

Biography

Formé sur les planches dès l’âge de 10 ans, Jonathan Keltz démarre véritablement sa carrière au Canada six ans plus tard. Après avoir signé un contrat avec un agent, il décroche un rôle récurrent dans le très populaire Degrassi : La Nouvelle Génération. Il apparaît dans un épisode de Missing: disparus sans laisser de trace, et dans la comédie American Pie : Campus en folie, dans laquelle il campe le président de la maison BETA.

Le comédien s’illustre ensuite dans de nombreuses séries, notamment Cold Case: Affaires classées, The Cleaner et Heartland, avant de rejoindre le casting du long-métrage de Joe Nussbaum, Le grand soir, où il est l’un des organisateurs du tant attendu bal de promo. En 2011, le jeune public le retrouve dans la fiction américaine Entourage. Il incarne ici l’assistant le plus fiable d’Ari Gold, l’agent de Vince joué par Jeremy Piven.

À la suite de ses figurations dans Le Transporteur et Facing Kate, Jonathan Keltz se fait une place dans le teen-drama de la CW, Reign. Sous les traits de Leith Bayard, cuisinier à la cour de France, il vit un amour impossible avec l'une des dames de compagnie de la Reine d'Écosse.

On October 21, 1994, Harlan Diehl (Luke Bonczyk) murders his family at their farmhouse and he is shot by the police, as he kills his sister. The tragedy leaves behind video footage which he had taped and his sister's baby who lives. Fifteen years later in Marshall, Michigan, an ambitious high school student Julian Miller (Johnny Pacar), is tasked with completing a film assignment on forgotten local stories for journalism class. Choosing the Harlan Diehl case, though it goes against the wishes of his mother, Anne Miller (Lisa Jane Todd), he selects his girlfriend, Riley (Ambyr Childers), to be his project partner, and borrows camera equipment and archive footage from his reserved former coworker at a video store, Quinn (Toby Hemingway), who has since become a news station cataloger. He also recruits his fun-loving friends, DeeDee Baker (Jennifer Missoni), Nate (Jonathan Keltz), and Brianna Baker (Alessandra Torresani) to re-enact the murder scene, allowing him to produce a gory slasher movie.
