Biography
Jordan was born in Lompoc, California but moved to Texas at an early age. It is there where he got his first break into acting when a film crew from The Big Green notified his soccer coach of auditions. After his soccer coach persuaded him to audition, he got a leading role. Jordan had a supporting role in ABC's TGIF comedy Teen Angel and also worked on Social Studies, a short lived comedy television show detailing the lives of boarding school kids. Since then he has been in several films with minor roles with perhaps his biggest role in the 1998 film Speedway Junky, with Jesse Bradford and Daryl Hannah. Jordan played the role of Eric, a gay hustler in Las Vegas who begins to fall in love with Bradford's straight character, Johnny. Thirty-four-year-old psychologist, Richard Clayton's (Ron Livingston) parents reveal to him that he was adopted. The film stars Jesse Bradford as Johnny, a young man with dreams of becoming a stock car racer. After he loses all of his money and possessions in Las Vegas, he drifts into the world of hustling, in the hope of making enough money to travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to join the car racing industry. He meets Eric (Jordan Brower), a gay hustler, who finds himself falling for Johnny. Jonathan Taylor Thomas also stars as Steve, a bisexual hustler, and Daryl Hannah plays Veronica, a former showgirl and prostitute who has served as a surrogate mother figure for Eric since his own mother died. Other than Veronica, the only thing Eric has to remind him of his mother is a silver dollar she gave him that he carries for good luck.

The film opens with a campfire story being told by Clovis Madison (Roscoe Lee Browne) to a group of children, about a man named John McKenna (Chuck Norris) who was killed a century ago in the Tanglewood forest while fighting bandits. Teacher Anna Montgomery (Olivia d'Abo), who is on an exchange program from Surrey, England, is placed into a school in the tiny (and fictional) town of Elma, Texas. She struggles to connect with the children at first, as they believe they are underachievers after receiving the lowest test scores in the state for four years running. She is also shocked to learn that the children think very little of everything. So instead of teaching geography to the inattentive class, Ms. Montgomery breaks the globe in an attempt to introduce the kids to a new game. After some confusion, the children begin to learn the game of soccer. Then at the end of the first session, Ms. Montgomery tells them that they have been entered into a league in Austin, Texas, but their first game was the next day. At this point, the town Sheriff Tom Palmer (Steve Guttenberg) becomes co-coach.
