Jordi Dauder i Guardiola (March 5, 1938 – September 16, 2011) was a Spanish actor. Dauder was a veteran actor with a prolific career that includes over a hundred films, plays and television series.
He developed to the immense majority of his work in France, where he appeared as actor in productions different from theatre, simultaneously that was taking part in the different political organizations.
En 2008, il interprète Manuel Azaña, dernier président de la Deuxième République espagnole dans le film Azaña, cuatro días de julio (Azaña, quatre jours de juillet), qui lui vaut le Prix Gaudí pour son rôle.
Le catalan est également un acteur et réalisateur de voix de doublage, pour Gregory Peck ou Nick Nolte entre autres.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme en arts à l'Université de Barcelone et d'histoire à l'Université de Paris, où il a dû émigrer pour des raisons politiques. il fait ses premiers pas dans le théâtre, et participe à divers mouvements sociaux comme celui de Mai 1968.En 2008, il interprète Manuel Azaña, dernier président de la Deuxième République espagnole dans le film Azaña, cuatro días de julio (Azaña, quatre jours de juillet), qui lui vaut le Prix Gaudí pour son rôle.

An abandoned baby is taken in by a Spanish monastery, and raised as a monk, christened Capuchin Ambrosio. An exceptional preacher, Ambrosio is respected by all. One day a masked figure by the name of Valerio arrives at the monastery with his godfather, explaining the mask as necessary due to terrible burns inflicted on him in a fire that killed his parents. He expresses a desire to join the monastery which is initially shunned by several of the monks, however Ambrosio convinces them to not fear his differences, and to accept him. Valerio later reveals to Ambrosio that he is actually a woman by the name of Matilda, and Ambrosio orders her to leave. As a last request she asks for a rose from his rose garden, and upon reaching in to pluck one for her, Ambrosio is bitten by a giant centipede. As he becomes delirious from the effects of the venom, he is seduced by Matilda and compromises his faith. Another lady, Antonia, who had recently heard him preach comes to the monastery to ask that Ambrosio see her sick mother. He complies and is told of a story by the sickly mother that she left a son Mateo that was lost years ago and this troubles her soul. Driven by a carnal lust for Matilda, Ambrosio transgresses and he is soon found desiring the innocent Antonia now. He also sees apparitions of the pregnant Nun he condemned to death by turning her over to the prioress. Matilda recognizes Ambrosio's new interest in the fair Antonia and uses magic spells to help the monk in his pursuit of her. She resists and her rape by him and discovery of her murdered mother (at the hand of Ambrosio) leads to her insanity. As her mother dies, she utters the word "Mateo", indicating that Ambrosio now knows that he is the older brother of Antonia that was lost years ago. Returning to the monastery, Ambrosio is delivered to the Inquisition where he is condemned to death by starvation; escaping only by selling his soul to the devil in an effort to save Antonia. It later emerges that Matilda is an instrument of Satan in female form. The devil prevents Ambrosio's final repentance.

Without much response and only accompanied by his not very supportive son Daniel and a technical assistant, a man calling himself 'The Prophet' travels around Belgium and lectures on eternal life and how it is possible to surpass the limitations of death. Only three years later he has achieved a remarkable status with numerous followers. Believing in the so-called Elohim, extraterrestrials who bring eternal life, the sect he founded is doing research on an optimised technique of cloning that allows one to reproduce an adult person within a few minutes including a copy of his complete memory storage. Daniel leaves his father's cult but returns years later in order to become The Prophet's successor. The story continues thousands of years from this moment. Daniel reappears as a clone of himself, heir to a long line of clones called neo-humans. Living in a cave, he reads about the past of humankind and his own ancestors. When an undefined longing urges him to leave his cave, he wanders a lonely world. After a dog has become his companion, Daniel feels like he approaches the concept of love which neo-humans have lost over the centuries. At the same time another loner is getting lost in the wastelands, a woman whose original human version once had an encounter, maybe a love affair with Daniel.

The film is set in Spain where a middle aged man driving his car rams into the rear of another car that is driven by a lady named Sonsoles. He follows her and introduces himself to her by a false name and a false profession.They start spending time with each other, going to a park and afterwards to the swimming complex.Later Maria comes to know of the real name of the person she is seeing to be Pablo Lopez.However after an initial reluctance she gives in and they again start to see each other.On the other hand,a colleague of Pablo is wooing him hard but he disperses her advances as he has grown to have feelings for Maria.Meanwhile Sonsoles's older lover fixes a device in her landline which traces unknown numbers and hence she knows that Pablo is behind the act.However she does not know about her sister's involvement with him and so she sends goons after him to teach him a lesson.But the story takes an ugly turn when the goons target Pablo Maria is with him and she is molested by the goons though Pablo tries hard to save her but he is captured and when Maria tries to save herself and in self-defense hits one of the goons with her knee she is thrown against a rock and dies on the spot.Pablo overcome by sorrow and grief stays by her until the police arrive and is arrested .In the prison he sees a flashback of Maria and becomes elated.
