Katherine Parkinson (born 9 March 1978) is an English actress.

Parkinson is best known for her role as Jen Barber in the Channel 4 comedy series The IT Crowd, for which she received a British Comedy Best TV Actress Award in 2009 and a BAFTA TV Award in 2014 (having received a nomination in 2011). She was also a main cast member of the series Doc Martin for three series, and performed the voiceovers for the games Worms Clan Wars and Worms Battlegrounds. She co-starred in Humans; an eight part sci-fi drama on AMC/Channel 4, which premiered in June 2015.

Parkinson is married to actor Harry Peacock. They have two daughters born in 2012 and 2014.

In 1966, numerous pirate radio stations broadcast to the United Kingdom from ships anchored in international waters, specialising in rock and pop music that is not played on BBC Radio. One night, an unknown man telephones St. Trinian's and bribes a girl, Celia, to find an old ring in the school library. She is caught by the other girls, and forced to explain that the man offered her £20,000 for the ring. Annabelle, the new head girl of St. Trinian's, bartered for £100,000 from the man when he called back, but he refused and then proceeded to threaten them. Afterwards, the girls ask the headmistress, Camilla Fritton, about why the ring might be so valuable. She tells them a story about Pirate Fritton, her ancestor, who supposedly hid a great treasure somewhere in the world. He had two rings made, which when fitted together would reveal the location of the treasure.
