Lateef Crowder est un acteur américain né à Bahia (Brésil), cascadeur et pratiquant de Capoeira. Comme il est membre de l'équipe de cascadeurs ZeroGravity depuis 2000, il est apparu sur Internet dans de multiples courtes vidéos et démonstrations, comme Inmate 451.

Cependant il est plus connu pour sa participation au film L'honneur du dragon, combattant dans une scène contre Tony Jaa en utilisant des techniques de Capoeira. À cause d'une blessure à un tendon d'Achille, la scène fut réduite, mais il a depuis récupéré et est apparu par la suite dans le film Duel of Legends, sorti courant 2009.
Il a également joué dans Undisputed 3: Redemption au côté de Scott adkins.

Grâce à ses techniques de Capoeira et à sa ressemblance physique avec Eddy Gordo, il a été choisi pour incarner ce dernier dans le film Tekken.

John "Falcon" Chapman is a United States Marine Corps veteran who suffers from posttraumatic stress disorder. After playing Russian roulette, he enters a convenience store moments before it is robbed. He demands one of the robbers shoot him, and when the man hesitates, Chapman grows impatient, disarms the robbers, and foils the robbery. When he meets with his sister, Cindy, who has briefly returned to New York for a wedding, she chastises him for not taking his medication and explains that she is returning to Brazil, where she has been doing charity work for a non-profit. Chapman receives word from Manny Ridley, a fellow veteran and diplomat, that his sister has been severely beaten. Chapman immediately leaves for Brazil.

The film follows Deacon City Police Captain Jackson Briggs as he informs assassin Hanzo Hasashi about the criminals Reptile and Baraka; the latter has recently killed actor-turned-undercover-officer Johnny Cage in a fight. Briggs believes they were both working for a man named Shang Tsung. He asks Hasashi to kill them in a mysterious tournament hosted by Tsung. When offered his freedom in exchange for accomplishing such tasks, Hasashi reveals that he willingly had himself incarcerated—and could free himself at any time. Then Sonya Blade arrives with a folder and informs Hasashi that his enemy Sub-Zero is alive and the one he killed was his older brother.
